So I finally figured out how to post the install pictures. Sorry if they are too big. Still getting this whole thing figured out. But At least I figured out the hardest part and that's posting the darn things. Very proud of our install though. Very fun car to work on. The best thing on the last picture is that you can't tell it's on the car which is the whole point. Hope everyone enjoys.:D

I'm surprised this is done with the garage door open. I would have thought it would be in the same type of room they use for painting cars so that dust/lint/etc...doesn't get trapped beneath the clear bra.
I'd definitely want these guys to do my clear bra installation. :D

haha, those guys look prepped and ready. its is a controlled environment. The biggest thing is dust and dirt being kicked up. Most shops are doing other stuff like sanding, painting, buffing, etc.... All we do is paint protection film so our garage area has minimal stuff floating. You should see the conditions our installers are in sometimes at the dealerships. its a treat when we do installs back at our office versus the dealership bays. talk about rough conditions. [hr]

That is far away from me. Anyone in the Northwest Suburbs (Barrington, Schaumburg, Woodfield Mall Area)?
We don't have anyone in that area that we do business with. Sorry.:(

we don't, i'm sorry. A lot of the shops in that area and also in the midwest use and are married to the 3M Scotchguard film. Not a film we install or sell. And that was by choice back when we started the business. We have someone in TN near Nashville, but that is about the closest contact I would have for you. The other option is I could cut you the kit and if you can find the installer, you'd be set up. At least you'd know the kit was good. but the most important thing is finding a good installer. I'll reach out to some people and see if I can find someone.

That's a great question. Not every and all install companies install Xpel Ultimate. There are a variety of paint protection films out there so it depends on the install company. At it's basic concept, the install company should back the work they do, but also inform the customer that the film needs to be treated. All films need to be treated. Most of the time, as long as the film has been treated, it will last longer than the warranty is set for. With that being said, certian films come with certain costs. Xpel Ultimate is considered a highter end film and therefore gets more money for installing it. We typically install 3M Ventureshield, but we install Ultimate on request which was the case on this job. Depends on the area, but your typical package is a partial hood and partial fenders with sideview mirrors and front bumper. That runs around $600-750 depending on your area. Expect a 20% upcharge for Ultimate film. Then when it comes to full frontal, you can anticipate about double the cost since you are using double the film and it takes more time. Hope all that info helps. So if I were to guess, I'd say between $1500-1800. I know its a big gap but not sure of all the factors you are dealing with as I mentioned above.

Getting ready to do XPEL on my car and want to know from those who do it and those who had it done on thier cars, is it worth having the front bumber done since it's plastic? I'm thinking of only doing the full hood and fender, the rocker panles and rear fender by the door. I have gotten lots of peper back there had it fix (as best one could) and want to prevent the dammage from getting worse -- but I see no real value in doing the bumber and need some advice -- thank you in advance

Hi EVer1, what did it cost to do the whole car? I also have road rash and was wondering if a fresh Ultimate Black waxing beforehand may be better than trying to match the paint for a touch up.
It was $5200, including sales tax. My install used the pre-cut sections for the Karma.

More expensive (when I was quoted) is the place where they wrap around all of the edges and cut each piece custom. I don't really notice or see the edges of the expel. That said, I can feel them, and if I look for the edges, can see them. With the wrap style, you can't even detect the expel on the car at all.
