Hi tehre!! My karma with 65k miles started with a small crack near the drivers side, which has now extended to the bottom of the windshield and is now rapidly moving up on the passenger side. The only offer I've received so far is about $ 480 for a new replacement windshield. Is that reasonable?
Any experience will be appreciated.

I saw your location is here at Glendale, Arizona. So if want to replaced your windshield in reasonable offer you may contact with this two well reputated dealer SunTec Windshield Replacement of Glendale AZ or AGD Auto Glass & Tint of Glendale AZ.
Hope you'll not be disappointed.

About 15 years ago there was a glass company in Australia if you gave them the outline of a windshield they could make it.
I may be able to contact the people who told me about it and find out if still in business.

I know this thread is old, but if you're still wondering, $480 for a windshield replacement sounds a bit steep to me. It might be worth shopping around and getting a few different quotes to compare. Also, have you considered getting a windshield repair instead of a full replacement? It could potentially save you some money, especially if the crack is still small enough. As for recommendations, I've heard good things about https://snapshades.cоm/ for car window shades. They help to protect the passengers from dangerous UV lights. You might want to check them out!
