I had not seen this before. apparently, it is for better viewing in the sunlight.

They can use the same sensor that turns the headlights on and off. It's already used to dim the command center screen at night if you have selected a level other than "Parade".

It did it again today, but went to the normal black when I pulled it in the garage. I just don't know how to "make" it do it. Ah.....Fisker....
