Yesterday it was a beautiful day in SoCal and I had teh windows down while backing out of the driveway. As I turned the wheel to make a U turn I heard the wheel clicking sound for the first time. The clicking disappeared when the wheels were straigtened and did not recur under normal driving situations.

My question is whether this is a defect and needs to be repaired or is this simply one of the quirks of the automobile?

What you're describing might be the clicking or rubbing sound you can hear when reversing with the wheel cut turned hard over. This is a known quirk. There are several threads in this forum from the Feb/Mar timeframe that discuss this phenomenon, and a couple of posts from knowledegable Fisker techs (HarleyGuy and/or Nimisys) explained it and that it was normal behavior.

Note that there are a couple of other types of "clicks" that people are discussing that have different origins. I'm only speaking of the noise you may hear when turning in reverse.

i had mine fixed at MKB in San Diego. it turned out to be breakdust buildup between the wheel and the hub. They cleaned it out and retorqued the wheels. Good to go!
Deep Ocean,

Thanks, I will have them see to it when I bring my car in for it's 5K mile service next month.

The noise that's heard is when your in a turn at slow speed you hear a clicking noise while stepping on the brake pedal .The repair is to remove the wheel clean the center hub of rust and any build up and apply never seize to the hub re-install wheels and re-torque

If this repair is not done, is it likely to cause damage?

My Karma does make this noise when reversing and I was planning on dropping by my local friendly Goodyear shop for them to take a look. I will relay this advice if I do take it in.

Thanks You.

Hello,
I'm having this clicking sound when I turn or driving at a low speed. Do you still have/carry the lug nuts. I would like to replace all 20. Please let me know what the price is or if you have a website link I can get them from. Thank you so much.

Thanks again, I just noticed that you had a link of the place to purchase the new-type Lug-Nuts. I've placed an order for a set of 20 and I'm also buying the lug-nut wrench with extended handle. Thanks HarleyGuy :)
