I have noticed that Karma owners are very technical, so they spend a lot of time and energy trying to understand the software, investigating the technical nuances, reading up on all the subcontractors, and utilizing their experiences and technical prowess.

All that aside, I just came back from the driving and ENJOYING my Karma (Deep Blue Ocean -- Eco Sport). I took the long way home, the attention is just as enjoyable as the as the drive. I enjoy the acceleration, the torque, and sometimes just pulling up to a Panamera, Lexus or BMW to watch the stares.

If this new thread is posted, I encourage all the owners to list their appreciation of the KARMA and how the enjoy the experience of this unique auto. Leave all the technical stuff behind, because we all enjoy the DRIVE... :fisker::D

You are so right! It's hard to describe what a pleasure it is to drive this car. It just jumps off the line and across an intersection. The silent running in stealth mode is particularly enjoyable to me. A friend said today what a cool car it would be with a Ferrari engine and I told him it would ruin it. You have to drive one to really appreciate what we have here. I've been a car guy since learning to drive and have owned some of the finest cars made and I don't remember one that was as much fun as this.

Totally agree, and for that reason I posted this list a few weeks ago:

----------------------------------

I love my Karma because:

- I feel like the centre of the world (and wasn’t even suffering from an attention deficit)
- Aston Martin- and Ferrari-drivers check out my car, instead of the other way round (and they paid two or three times as much).
- I drive the same car as Leonardo and Ashton.
- I am in the forefront of an unique change: electric driving becoming cool
- I can share my enthusiasm for electric driving with lots of people every day (and have so far caused three people to order a car with a similar propulsion, the Opel Ampera).
- My Karma is causing a stir where ever she goes.
- And brings a moment of amazement and joy to hundreds of people every day.
- Youngsters run on my driveway, only to run back shouting to their friends that it says ‘Karma’ on the back and that they have to look it up on Google.
- I found several pictures of my car on the internet, taking by youngsters who spot exotic cars they desire.
- I drive a piece of art that would fit in any museum of modern art.
- Even when it’s sitting on the driveway it’s pure art.
- After 4 years of looking at every available picture of a Karma, I am still not tired of its looks.
- It hasn’t aged a day.
- I get to see the sun rise and set on the huge hood in front of me. Whole landscapes reflect on the curves and arches
- In the sun the car sparkles like a diamond
- Even on a cloudy day it’s more radiant than others.
- I have the biggest wheels of any production car (and wheels make the car)
- But at the same time those 22 inch wheels are amazingly comfortable; no bumpy ride.
- It produces the most futuristic sound; it’s music to my ears
- Even my blinker sounds nice
- The daytime LED’s look great
- The xenon lights even better.
- They produce a huge amount of light, at night I can see more on the road than in any other car.
- With full lighting the front is extremely impressive.
- When I sit down I feel cuddled (surrounded by the center tunnel and chair)
- And I get welcomed by a soft musical tone.
- The smell of fresh leather
- And the touch of soft alcantara
- I listen to a superb sound system.
- I drive more relaxed than ever
- I don’t feel the need to speed, even though I can.
- Sometimes I don’t even have to brake, when using Hill-mode.
- I have better mileage in a traffic jam than in normal driving (the opposite of a conventional car)
- The handling is supreme
- The steering wheel is made for my hands, not too thin
- I hardly see a gas station anymore
- Get incredible mileage
- As the sun powers my car (I use electricity from solar panels on the roof of my company and soon of my house)
- My car is the future, brought forward to the present

Dutch has expressed my sentiments exactly, with one exception. I've had trouble with speeding, the car is so quiet, and accelerates so smoothly, it is a real risk to be going 40 in a 30 speed zone or 80 in a 60 speed zone before you realize it.

I love being part of the group that is making electric powered vehicles the accepted norm. And doing so riding in a car which makes me smile every time I aproach the Karma becuase it is so pleasing to look at makes it all the better.

As a true nerd at heart, I love driving the first truly 21st century car, as opposed to a highly refined example of an early 20th century car. The fact that the Karma is the best looking, best performing, and best handling car of this generation are nice bonuses, but fundamentally, I am drawn to the generational leap represented by this technology.

I LOVE Dutch's detail list and agree with virtually all of it. I will simply add that I have purchased at least one new car a year for as long as I have been old enough to drive. I don't think I have enjoyed a new car as much as this one in 20 years or more. It is so beautiful, unique, fast, smooth, fun to drive and leading edge.

Dutch said it all and then some, and he totally nailed my feelings exactly. Having owned over 70 cars the Karma is truly in a class by itself, I have never had this level of satisfaction from any car I've owned, the experience is almost spiritual because you just know you're a part of something special that has yet to truly realized. I can't wait to look back to see what we've help create.

Add to the list daily enjoyment of eco paint that is more beautiful than any car paint ever, no matter the cost in dollars or damage to the environment. I have heard the word "stunning" more times than I have in the past decade, all in reference to my Karma's lovely color.

Ditto to all, it's the engagement and being part of a dream made real that I love. As I said previously, I'd have loved to have beenpart of the Chrysler turbine program or bought a Tucker in those years , so here we are, driving a concept and smiling every mile. I personally love being involved with my cars and having owned and still owning many English makes and models, Lucas, jaeger, Leland , roots parts always demanded a "little attention" and never has it ever diminished my enjoyment or beauty of the cars....for me, the rituals involved are part of the texture and pleasure of these cars especially in such a generic and disposable world. Sometimes I think I just want to pet my karma...lol...I feed her, put her to sleep, awaken her and she sings and talks to me.....obviously in love with each other. Happy Motoring.....

Great to hear CWSN. I almost got the Inferno. It is Truly Striking... I was affraid I would be too much attention. Today, a neighbor followed me to my garage...curiosity was too much for him. Nice guy, so I gave him a tour.

Still a head turner and if you can believe it, my first sighting of a fellow Karma driver in my hometown was today! Even though the dealer has delivered 30 cars already. Nice to be part of a very select group.
