OMG Fab, that is GREAT. I love that! I've walked up to my car and there is about 15 people around it. I just stand in the back and wait for the crowd to leave. Its fun and annoying all at the same time. :)
Thanks. Yes, it is pretty useful and its always there for people to use even when you are not there. The QR code in the photo points to Fisker's main website but recently I swapped it out for a code that points to my dealer's website to support them. It is very easy to generate the code. If you like, I can post step-by-step instructions.

How to Make A QR Code

Method 1, using a QR generator:

Step 1:

Go to the website you want to encode and copy the URL from the browser's address bar. The reason for this is to make sure you have a working URL. So let's use the Fisker Karma's specification page as an example. Here is the actual URL of that page that I copied from the address bar while I am looking at the page:

http://www.fiskerautomotive.com/en-us/karma/specifications

Step 2:

Go to this website: http://www.qrstuff.com/

In Col. 1 select "Website URL"

Paste the URL you have selected into the box titled "Content". Make sure it is a correct URL, starts with "HTTP://" or "HTTPS://" and has all the letters and symbols from the original URL.

Underneath the box, select "Embed URL into code as-is"

in Col.3 pick a background color or just leave it white

The QR code will show in the square on the right. Use one of the output options below to download, print or email the code. You can then add it to a document or just print it out directly.

To verify that it is working, use a QR scanning app on your phone (e.g., Redlaser) to verify that the QR code is linking to the correct website.

Method 2, Using a URL Shortening Service: If you are familiar with using goo.gl or bit.ly to shorten URLs, you can just use them to shorten the selected URL, and then click on the link marked "details" or "info page+" for that URL, and you will see the QR code displayed on that page. Simply use copy and paste to transfer the code to a document and print it.

Hope this helps. happy QRing.

I like the QR suggestion, but my Karma (at port, hoping for delivery within a few weeks) may also need its own business cards.
At least for a while you may feel your Karma needs its own press secretary.

Someone made a comment in jest that you should plan an extra 10 minutes to all trips to account for the questions and conversations the car generates. While it was said as a joke, it's turned out to be reasonably accurate.

Welcome (almost) to the club. Be sure to post pics when it arrives.
