Man, I've never been as apprehensive about washing a car as I am with the Karma.... its got some dust/soot from freeway driving etc but I don't have 3 hours to spend today to wash it properly. I'm thinking of giving it a good rinse with the hose - thoughts? Are water stains bad?

Also, any restrictions on what kinds of window cleaner one can use on the windows?

Water stains are very bad. If you are going to wash it yourself get the spotless washing system from Costco. It's a little expensive but works great. It takes all of the minerals out of the water and you could let the car air dry if you wanted to.

I am also apprehensive about washing my Karma. The paint is so beautiful and the washing precautions so detailed I worry the paint is even "softer" than other water-based formulas. I am having a 3M clear shield installed today.
