Hi all
Like everyone else on the forums I am and have been a fisker fanatic. For years I have been looking at buying one but with the bankrupt issues and lack of dealer support I have not purchased. Don't want to be stuck with an undriveable car or a headache

In any event seriously looking at a signature edition and want to know if there is anything I should be inquiring about before purchase. Recalls etc

I know about the limited csp program just released and know it's short lived. Anyone know of any info or rumors of continued parts/support once the new fisker is up and running.

Also most importantly any known fisker repair shops in NYC/Long Island area.

Thanks

I bought mine in September and have had zero issues. Adam or Joe are great resources for your quest. Good luck.

Have you already reviewed the new buyer's checklist thread? This thread was started before The New Fisker's CSP, but the technical information is still valid. You may also want to get in touch with @FiskerPhilly who is your closest CSP provider.

I service over 20 karmas in the NY metro area. 3 at the shop now and 5 more waiting to get in all from Long Island. Relocating to a new facility in Cherry Hill NJ. Will soon be doing personal pickup and delivery to the area once I get an extra pair of hands here.

Hello fisker pros
After reading the forums it seems most say to avoid low early production vins. So would a signature series be one to avoid ? If I'm correct those are the first 100 made? So they will likely be plagued with issues ?
Thanks

Well, some of the Signature Edition cars like mine, has all the updates. I have the green circles on my motors, new RDM (and motors at 7500 miles), upgraded HVAC, no battery issues after the initial recall, and over 25K miles where it was all sorted out. I would say if you find a car that has these upgrades, you would be better off than buying a high VIN car with low miles.

After reading forums it seems high vins are the most desireable.? Is this true.? Looking at a laguna 8k miles vin last four in the 26xx range (forget) . Would it be safe to say all known issues exhaust, battery etc are done on this or do u still need to check every one out? Thanks for any advice

Don't count on late Vin to be trouble free the vin number needs to be run and see what warranty work was done on the car .

Thanks for the info. I checked the pre buy checklist but i thought the late vin produced models were made with all latest fixes (battery exhaust etc) so what specifically needs to be checked . Any ohio area fisker techs that offer paid pre purchase inspects

Vehicle has 8900 miles

I did the vin lookup and only things that came up where
390120058 BASELINE 510 RELEASE OVERVIEW 2012-10-17 Completed 2012-10-30 2902
370120038 DOOR PULL RING CAMPAIGN
BASELINE 520 BASELINE 520 2015-05-20 Open Not Reported

Thanks

One of the more important things to be sure you do is get the CIU wiring waterproofed before you drive in a storm or a strong car wash.
