I think several of us have cars on the Turandot that arrived in New York on 4/6. Has anyone heard news on the status of their car? I'm pretty sure mine has NOT been released for transport to the dealership yet. :dodgy:

Once your vehicle arrives in Newark, it is typically at the port for about 2-3 weeks for the vehicle to receive all necessary updates and safety inspections before it can be shipped to the retailer. Once the vehicle is ready to leave the port, it takes about 5 days for the vehicle to travel.

I called Fisker to track my arrival, which was on the 4/6 ship. She said there appeared to be some odd delay as she didn't see the car released to the carrier (I presume the carrier to transport the cars to NJ). I hope the process becomes more efficient!

Mine took nearly 6 weeks from port to Dallas, TX. battery clamp checks and software updates were the problem then. Now, I bet it's the 615 update. It takes a day or two sometimes. If they have a bunch of cars there it will just depend on where yours is in the queue. It would be nice if they could tell you though.

Have you been in contact with anyone during 6 weeks to see what is the update on getting your car?
It's just mind blowing as to how long it takes them to get it to a buyer. Car that is already sold.:mad::mad::thumbdown:

From port did you mean it that long from New jersey? Mine is suppose to arrive this 18th, it would suck if I have to wait that long to get to Dallas myself!

Yes, I think by "port" he meant from NY/NJ.

What's really odd is that Fisker's excellent customer service reps appear to be just as much in the dark about deliveries as we are! I hope they get more timely information soon so at least we can plan. Receiving a new car in many states is a pretty big deal, requiring the coordination of insurance, license plates, front plate holder installation, clear bra installation, etc. Not knowing even which week our Karmas will arrive is an unnecessary inconvenience.

I reached someone at Fisker in NJ today and was told that the 4/6/2012-delivered cars are now in NJ but since there are 80+ of them, it will take a while to flash them all to 6.15 before shipping them off to the dealers. Unfortunately it does not look like Fisker is flashing them in any particular logical order, such as which ones have sold through to consumers.

Looks like still about 2 more weeks.
It's well worth the wait. Having to take your car back to the dealer after enjoying it for a few days is very annoying. Let them do all the checks and updates, etc.

It's just that my dealer would do the update much quicker. Not too many Karma's in our area yet.
I feel your pain as I was exactly where you are just a couple of months ago. I would think that the folks at the port are a lot more experienced with these issues and they can also work in multiple shifts to speed things up. I don't know if they do, but I would like to think that they would. Anyway, hang in there.

Fisker has a lot of incentive to get these cars re-flashed and out of the port as soon as they can. The cars are considered sold to the dealers as soon as they are placed on the transporters and leave the port. Fisker needs to report monthly sales figures to current (and future) investors, so that don't want cars to languish there.

Arrived @ Port on 4/06/12
Email I received 4/19/12[/align]

Dear Mr. W

As of this morning, I do not have an update on your vehicle since our last email contact. The vehicle is still located at the port. As I mentioned before, each vehicle is typically at the port for about 2-3 weeks and we are working diligently to get your vehicle to you as quickly as possible. Thank you again for your continued patience.

Best regards,

Are you kidding me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :fisker:

After a quick re-read of the thread here, I think what's MOST surprising is that NOONE has heard anything about cars that arrived in port 13 days ago. Statistically, you'd think someone on this forum who knows they had a car on the 4/6 arrival would have heard an update. It's not like they're going to flash all 80 (or whatever) cars and then release the first.

Even at half a day of work per car and doing it entirely serially, 20 or so cars should have been released already. If there are two threads in parallel, 40 cars should be on their way... yet we hear nothing???

Sounds like an opportunity to improve, Mr. Lasorda.

Has anyone else waiting for a Karma that arrived in the U.S. 4/6 (20 days ago!) heard any updates? Fisker has been responsive to my emails and calls, but disappointingly has not been able to provide any information so far other than confirming that it is in fact in New Jersey. It would be great to know if our cars have received 6.15, if they are receiving any hardware tweaks, inspections, and of course when they might be sent out to our dealers!
