Unfortunately Travis has taken advantage of another customer I was contacted last week about a VCM problem but it was to late the customer all ready sent his out to Travis and never heard back .Today I shipped out a new VCM and Two new keys to the customer these parts are far from inexpensive .

Sad that someone who worked for Fisker and a new car dealership has gone this route . Just don't get it

Ouch..... unfortunately, business acumen doesn't always follow mechanical aptitude. My attorney cautioned me to get things in writing -- contract as it were. I will not make that error again.
Ya know the shame of it is (and Adam will attest to this) is that it poisons the water for us when we want to actually help owners, I've gotten the "well I've heard stories about a guy takin people's money or car and not returning it". It ruins the trust for the honest guys out there. Hopefully people are wise enough at this point to see things for what they are...
My continued thanks for the balance that FiskerPhilly and Harley Guy bring. Would be lost without them. Hopefully, with ELUX announcements shortly, things will be stable again.
Someone needs to find this guy and set him straight He ripped me off of 5600.00 to fix my electric motors. He never did it and I had to have it done again. I think he skipped town or is hiding. He can't hide forever. He will be found and I feel sorry when he surfaces
File a complaint
I am not taking anyone's side here, but if there is a genuine problem, bitching and moaning here is not going to do anything for anyone. If your complaint is genuine, you should consider calling the police, California Bureau of Automotive Repair, or filing a lawsuit in small claims court. The key thing is to do something, rather than just complain.

Oh I agree that's why I mentioned to file a complaint
for the record Travis was nothing but genuine with me

I would just like to put it out there that Travis not only inspected my vehicle before I bought it, he made several repairs, changes the oil and helped with with a paint pen with no issues. I sent him money just based on trust several times and he came through every time. I doubt he has done anything fraudulent on purpose...rather,I suspect an illness or emergency has come up since he just dropped out of the picture suddenly. I am pretty good at reading people, and judging people based on their actions, and from all the fisker owners he has helped who have posted positive comments and pictures, I highly doubt he would suddenly become a crook. I just hope nothing bad has happened to him because he was always genuine, fair, and honest with me.
oil change

on that note, since my usual go to guy, Travis, is no longer available- does anyone know any other independents who can do the oil change? The CSP authorized guy Alex at elite motors charges $300 for an oil change...I'm sorry but I think that's a little ridiculous....
thanks in advance for any info/advice!
I do my own oil changes. It's not that big of a deal. I lifted the car with a standard floor jack on the driver’s side and used a stand. The oil drain is 15 mm and it is on the passenger side of the engine and is easy to reach. The oil filter is the same as a Saturn sky 2010 or 11. This filter is on the driver’s side of the engine yet on top. I removed the cross brace with a 45 torx and the filter sits below a black plastic cap and uses an 1 1/4" socket with universal to remove. There is a video on You-tube for the Solstice oil change if that helps. Be sure to replace the O-ring seals that come with the filter and do not over tighten. You will know when it’s tight since it will just stop turning yet will feel snug as you are tightening up until that point.

I used 5w-30 Mobil 1 and it takes 5 quarts that you can get in a single jug at Walmart.

Use Purolator PSL15436 Synthetic Cartridge Oil Filter or equivalent.
I agree with everything you're saying @caricia78. My first thought in regards to Travis was an illness (maybe substance abuse), but I have no idea. But for the people that have lost parts and money, I'm sure it doesn't matter.
As for the oil change, you can get an oil change at a normal lube place since the engine is the same as in the Saturn Sky Red Line. But, you get what you pay for. It'll just be an oil change. When I had my Gallardo, an oil change was $450, but it included a lot more than just the oil change and it was done by a Lamborghini specialist, not a kid not trained on that car. I would call Alex and ask him what is included in the service and I'm sure you'll find he will be doing a lot of other work in addition to the oil change. It's more of a 10K mile service that includes oil.

He might of quoted you for a full service. When I do a full service its more then just a LOF my service includes tighten all the suspension parts hooking up Prodis and checking all the computers for fault codes and a lot of other work i think for $300.00 he was doing a service. I also do just an LOF but it's a lot less then $300.00
thanks for all of the info from everyone, I appreciate it! I may try the oil change myself but being a female I have found sometimes I don't have the strength to do engine work (I have tried on previous cars)- but if I can't do it I'll break down and drive to orange county for the professional oil change with Alex.
I am in the same situation. Shipped keys to Travis to get programmed to new VCM and got nothing! In the ripoff report this guy submitted, he said he paid $2400 for new VCM. Anyone know where he got one done at that price?

From me I have them in stock one reason for the high cost was the key fobs . The key fobs were bought before the price of parts have gone down .

Did you send him keys and the VCM ? What was wrong with the one that came in the car. Problem in programming those parts you need to install the parts into a car and then program it. So he needs to borrow a car and remove the VCM that's in the car install the new one program it remove it and reinstall the original back in .
Who's going to lend him a car to do that too. Plus it's not a hard job but the VCM is located under the dashboard 10 Lbs of stuff in a 5Lbs bag.
filing a complaint on a guy who "vaporized" is a waste of time. He has nothing to get from a law suit. He is a "low life" Piece of s_ _t. Suing him will not get anything in return. He needs a talk behind the BARN

While filing a complaint may not provide any immediate relief, it may help prevent more victims in the future. If no one ever complains, there are no consequences.
