I know there has been extensive talk regarding soft vs hard splines but I do have a question.... I was able to source some 2015 rear tires and had them installed today. Whilst having that done I had another opportunity to look over the underside of the car and it is remarkably perfect. With regard to the splines - I assume they are shafts from the motors to the diff not diff to the wheels. I tried twice to look for green on the shafts but couldn't spend much time under the car. I did, however, see a green spot on the motors. Is this a good sign - is this what I was looking for?
Happy no matter what,
Randy

Small dime or quarter sized paint dot indicates weld check was performed. Large 2-3 inch stenciled split circle indicates hard splines. Part # will also end in 003. 000 and 001 are soft spline.
