Hello FB Community!

I've been lurking here and there on the site for quite a while trying to learn as much as possible about the Karma while trying to decide if I wanted to pull my deposit or not.

Well this past weekend my wife and I flew out to Fisker of Silicon Valley and took delivery of our Silver Wind Karma (Int: Black monotone) and drove her 450+ miles along the Calif. coast home.

We couldn't be happier! No problems on our long drive home with multiple stops along the way (How could we pass up the Artichoke Capitol of Calif and riding the roller coaster in Santa Cruz!!) we didn't have any problems. It was also cool to spend only $60.00 in gas for the entire trip!

Since our coast drive, we've experienced a few of the known issues BUT they have been minor and all corrected themselves.

I am an early adopter so putting up with new tech is normal for me; but I'm also a car guy who really appreciates well built, high quality cars. I have to say that I'm not disappointed in the least bit and am very happy with our new Karma.

I've been in Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Bentleys and Porsches and have never had more attention and questions then we've had in the Karma.

Fun car that like wine (and with updates) will only get better in time.

Nice congrats on your Karma...Why did you take delivery at Fisker Silicon Valley instead of Fisker Orange County? Just curious

Terry over at Fisker OC has been great and very supportive. The only Silverwind Karma they had has been going through some normal pre-delivery delays and I didn't want to wait. I will still service and update through Terry..he's a great guy.

The coastline pick-up and drive turned out to be a really cool thing so it all worked out.

Congratulations on your delivery and on having a great trip and having a great story to tell about when you picked up your Karma. Please post some photos so that we can share in your experiences.

Congrats jrocks! Welcome to the family! Where in OC are you?

Did you get any clear bra or tint with your Karma? I have the same model/trim and it is being serviced at the moment at Fisker OC (getting tint and software update).

How was your drive down? Did you get any rock pits/dings on the drive?

Hey SoCalGuy,
Thanks, I'm in the Rancho Santa Margarita area.
Yes, had the 3M Clear Bra installed - worked great. Luckily, no rocks pits or dings. Just bugs. Gonna have Terry at OC Fisker do the tint. Did you go dark on all windows?
Are you getting the 615 update?

Did everyone get a logo'd trunk mat that matched the interior mats? I was surprised to get it- had only seen the interior mats.

Very nice - I'm getting clear bra on just the front bumper and rockers - don't think I need it anywhere else - did you do the full car?

For tint, I'm doing the crystalline dark. 615 update should be out this Friday.

Didn't get a trunk mat =(

I got the mat...for$185.
Wow - that's too much $$$ - I think I'll buy one of those rubber protective mats for $30 - probably more durable and easier to clean!

Considering the fact that owners, including myself, are spending $2K -$6k putting on paint protection, tinting, etc., $200 for mats is inconsequential, IMHO. Might as well have the mats with the Fisker logo on them rather than the generic one from NAPA.

Fisker Trunk Mat does look awesome...Fisker Logo in center of mat.

Had a "User Error / New Owner" moment today.

Leaving for work - car wouldn't go into gear - thought my luck had run out because of all the accolades I've been singing about the car - let the car go to sleep and tried again - wouldn't go into gear - called the dealer......duh - had to depress the brake pedal further down!

Felt like a newby owner...Terry at Fisker OC was patient and very helpful about my "duh" moment.

:) Finally at my home. Took delivery on 4/30/12. I could use a Fisker Flag Tho :)
Congrats!

I asked my dealer and Fisker corporate for a flag for my garage too. I'm waiting to hear if they come up with something.
