Guys

Fisker Mgmt is working diligently to fix all software and misc issues with the Karma.

Money/Funding will fix all problems. Fisker is raising more money right now and should have several financial avenues to choose from throughout the rest of the year. I would expect an IPO as well.

Can you imagine how everyone would rave about the car if the software was near fixed and bug free? Inventory would be GONE.

The Karma will only get better in quality. Mark my word!

Hang in there and be proud present & future owners. Fisker will get the financial backing and will fix these problems. There will be nothing like it on road.

People will soon not want to parish from this earth before owning a Fisker! It's carries that kind of bravado!

Bravado for sure ...keep the faith...I do think LaSorda should host an owners live chat, and I do think, that Fisker should extend early owners warranty to post 615 ( if it's foundationally successful) installation. It would also be great for Fisker to host celebrations and drop some swag into the owners laps after all settles down, we owners are the best Brand Ambassadors they could hope for as a marketing group.

at least the Fisker has fixable problems...Take a look at the Model S interior...that thing is hideous.
It's not 'hideous'... the screen is a little too prominent, but the interior seems very average/in line with other Merc/BMWs of similar class.

I will be "shocked" if they build it as shown, vs we karma owners who got the concept into reality...the strategy of three levels of battery pack seems good on paper but may not match the true psychology of driving....seems more like an accounting bell curve assumption...that interior is Buick busy for sure.

Really? I have never seen a Mercedes sedan since the 1970s without a center console...look at the cupholders, you have to either choose between having a cupholder or an armrest. How is it inline with mercedes and bmw?

I've sat in the beta model S when it came to New York - very light/airy, spacious and pretty clean. Completely different goal/feel than the Karma. Not better/worse, just different.

Not that bad guys.

Oh Damn! Now that's a hideous dash. Looks like a carpenter went to Home Depot and designed it with a ruler, put in a couple of iPads and they went with it. Again, not trying to offend anybody, just my first impression.

I agree completely....the dash design looks completely aftermarket..The Fisker Karma is much more elegant. Remember guys you can fix software, its tough to bad aesthetics. Imagine having to look at that dash, and that interior, on a daily basis.

I don't know what they were thinking at Tesla. They has a gorgeous dash when they first showed the Model S, and then they turned it into something ugly with that seventies look. I hope they will go back to this:

The reason they used that for the concept (so I'm told) is that much of the interior in that car was sourced from a Mercedes E-class so they were limited in terms of what they could do. In the Beta, that's all custom Tesla. Not sure why they went so 'in your face' with the touchscreen, but I will say that the touchscreen is gorgeous - vivid colors, good resolution and some cool/innovative features and controls (e.g. you can browse the internet while you're waiting to pick someone up, the controls for lighting and the sunroof show a top schematic for the car and the controls are drag/drop much like an iPad).

Two out of three of those pics above are renderings and don't really do it justice. I sat in the Model S this past weekend (and have ridden in it a few times). The touchscreen is rather nice at your finger tips. Very responsive and they've done a good job of compartmentalizing the functions. For example, if the main touchscreen were to lock up, the instrument cluster LCD (with speedo, etc) would continue to work. (A tech demonstrated this by rebooting the main screen, while the other screen was unaffected.)

That said, the interior is a bit spartan, doesn't really scream luxury. And in the Tesla forums people are complaining about a lack of door pockets and cubbyholes to put stuff. Then again, we haven't seen the final version of the interior yet.

Cosmetic stuff aside, the engineering and performance in that car are amazing.

I'm sticking with the Fisker look. I'm not against Tesla at all, but I agree about how busy it looks. Different car for sure, but the Karma has a slightly minimalist look (almost too minimalist on the steering wheel lack of lighting).

There has to be a balance between the high tech (Jetson look) and the plush interior of the Karma. Home run for Fisker in my opinion.

Uhhh, wasn't this about how the karma was going to get better, not how it would look better compared to the interior of another car? As another poster here said... Looks can only get you so far.

On topic, I certainly hope fisker gets on track, as a bug free Nina could be a very compelling buy should the looks and performance be there.

I agree. I too have been in a Beta model Tesla in Newport Beach and the interior has a cheaper feel than I believe it should. Also, if you take a Model S and load it up with the big battery pack and the "sport" version with more hp from the inverter, its going to push $95k, if my math its right. That makes it pretty close to our Karmas and it doesn't have anywhere close to the look and feel of a Karma.

Make no mistake, I want Tesla to succeed, but I am worried about the price vs. the interior materials.

Just had dinner with Henrik Fisker! There were people from Fisker The Netherlands and Fisker Northern Europe. It was a lovely and informative evening, but unfortunately I can't go into the specifics. My conclusion of the evening: I think the future for Fisker looks bright.
