This is promising:" Pursuant to the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware sale order, Wanxiang America Corporation could only assume an agreement that was dictated by another buyer, so Wanxiang America Corporation was not allowed to change the Asset Purchase Agreement. Within the Purchase Agreement, Section 1.10 (i) provides up to $2,000 per each vehicle warrantied (ii) capped at $400,000 in the aggregate. We understand if you are an owner and paid good money for your vehicle, $2,000 is not what you bargained for or expected. Please understand that this provision was part of the court order that Wanxiang America Corporation assumed and accepted. We are already hard at work discussing ways that we can make this a better experience for all current Fisker owners and hope to bring better news to each owner in the near future."

I have a feeling the site is bogus. Wanxiang America said that they would announce their plans for Fisker until after the deal closes with regulators (it hasn't yet). Why did they not update FiskerAutomotive.com yet? The warranty FAQ doesn't make sense, they legally have to provide that but they can provide more if they wanted to and I do not believe the way to relaunch a car company is to **** over all the current owners and brand supporters of Fisker. The person most likely to buy another Fisker is a current Fisker owner. The WHOIS info is very odd (http://who.is/whois/thenewfisker.com) why isn't the site in Wanxiang's name? Also doubt the website for Fisker would be built with WordPress.

Idk maybe I'm wrong. It seems like a lot of work for no reason, but something seems fishy. It's such a cheap site, if it turns out to be legit hopefully they won't be as cheap with running Fisker.

Another thought came in my head - may be Wanxiang hired an outside contractor to build something quick to get the words out. With all bankruptcy and mess, they may be having a hard time to access fisker main domain name and all it's website files.. So they decided to with a new domain name until they get access to the main domain. Just a thought..

I thought about that too, but there are still employees at Fisker's office in Costa Mesa and I was told one of them built the current site. I would think one of the employees there would have login information. It doesn't add up. The wording of the FAQs are very odd, for example, "We are excited about the Karma and truly believe we can launch the Atlantic, Surf and Sunset in the future." They believe? Why launch the site now if they have nothing to say? The past section of the site was taken from the current FiskerAutomotive.com. All of the information on the site is publicly available and says nothing new. Also, No address? Phone Number? They have their new office, whats to hide? The way to settle this is to call Wanxiang and to have them confirm or deny the site's legitimacy, which is what I plan on doing.

Yes calling Wanxiang is a good idea or calling this company http://elalux.com/#contact who currently owns this domain name is not a bad idea either...

Hmm, to bad if it is a fake. I liked the "new" site, the promise of doing right by the current owners, and the positive outlook for the future. Time will tell.
