These are two videos we took during my test drive. The first one starts at the beginning of the test drive and goes for about 6 minutes when my camera shut down for some unknown reason. You can clearly hear "The Noise" in this video as I accelerate onto the US 101S. The traffic was on the heavy side so I could not do a very long drag race, but you can get a sense for the acceleration of the car. The Fisker rep claimed to be a former indy driver and gave some useful commentary along the way. I switched from Stealth to Sport mode several times during this clip and the only indication is a chime and change in the display.

The second clip is a lot shorter and comes from near the end of the test drive and is taken with an iphone. We are in Stealth mode for the full duration of this clip.

Hope this is helpful.

Fabulist,

The links don't work even when I cut them and paste them. I look forward to seeing the videos, and thanks for the review.

Thanks for the clips! I recognized the engine noise when you went on 101.

Btw it would be great if the display switched from white background to black at night! Since ts just software, hopefully they'll give s the option!

Thanks, Fab - awesome videos. The engine noise was fairly loud at its peak, but the car seems very quiet in stealth... 2 questions:
1. How fast did it feel in stealth? Since most of the driving is in town, o-60 seems less relevant, it is the 0-30 that matters most of the time. In a way just like the high performance diesel (BMW 335d) - slower to 60 than the 335xi, but feels quicker (I have a 335xi, drove the diesel and was amaized).
2. I wonder what happens when your battery is low at highway speeds - will it be the background sort of annoying but tolerable engine noise or will it be the high pitched full-power on? I guess we have to wait on that one...

Must have been intoxicated by the car's performance. At least he did not have a noisy zoom :-/

And yet another one:

A few points about this one:

1. As he leaves the dealership there's a Tesla in front of him... I laughed.

2. The Fisker guy actually says that the production cars will be quieter than the one he's driving. That seems to contradict earlier statements.

Glad to see more videos coming out - you can definitely hear what I heard in Sport mode at minute 5:36 in the video. And a few seconds before that, the Fisker rep said that they're putting on a new muffler for the "real" production cars. This does conflict with what the Fisker CSA told me at the Irvine location. It would be great if David Harris from Fisker could settle this conflicting report once and for all!

That first video is particularly useful, thanks.

I'd recommend you edit the title on youtube to include "Karma" (not just "Fisker") so that it shows up on youtube searches for "fisker karma"...
Thanks. DId that. Also added "Karma" to the tages on both videos.

Since the speedo is very clearly visible in this video, I did a little slo-mo analysis on the stealth mode acceleration in this car. This is not a frame-by-frame review and I will be delighted to see someone do that if they have the right sort of software for it.

At 2:56, the car appears to be going around 20MPH when the Fisker rep says "Punch it".

Starting at 2:57, the car is accelerating and hits 40 MPH after 2 seconds and 60 MPH after another 3 seconds and tops out at 70 MPH less than a second later. So 20 - 70 takes under 7 seconds. As I said in my review, it does not exactly snap your neck back, but is pretty good for electric-only performance in a car of Karma's weight and size and seems to be in line with the advertised figures of 0-60 in 7.9 seconds.

This is an approximation based on the video. I hope others who have future test drives can provide a more precise measure of the acceleration.

There is a light sensor on top of the IP, if you cover it the dash will go black.
Same thing when it gets dark enough, the car will go to night mode.

Really? I had asked a rep and they said "nope, it stays white... but they can change that with software" - where did you hear that it has a night mode? that would be great!
