The car arrived wednesday, and i am picking it up sunday. I've had the windows tinted, with ceramic based tint, and the clear bra added, floor mats are promised, and the car should be fully charged. I am bring my iPhone and my wife's for Bluetooth pairing... It has 6.15 working... I know to avoid using USB plug for music (ok for charging iPhone , right?). I've read to avoid using the easy entry setting.

What are the essential things i need to know to ensure I really understand before leaving the dealer? What do I need them to demo for me to confirm they are working correctly before I leave the dealer?

I plan to bring the car back to dealer on Wednesday, on my way out of town for a couple days, to sort out anything I run into in the first 72 hours of ownership. And would also love your advice as to what I should try (or try to avoid) to have a good experience with the karma.

Thanks for your tips.

My single largest regret at purchase was not having the clear bra extended to the sides, especially the back doors and in front of the back wheels. In less than three months I have enough damage to the paint that I am having those areas repainted and then covered with clear bra. On the plus side, the Fisker rep for our dealer in Colorado (Rickenbaugh) has agreed to split the costs. The black (Eclipse) Karma's seem to show this damage more than others, but I would still recommend it for all.

Rex, I agree with Richard that deciding on the clear bra is best done right away. Check out: www.xpel.com click on "paint protection" and then "vehicle type" etc., and you will see illustrations of the various choices for clear bra coverage. (you may have to click "show with images"). On the same site there are pictures of a Karma with the expel clear bra paint protection.

If you search the forum, you will find lots of discussion of the two major brands of clear bra, and pictures. I have expel, and 1400 miles later am quite happy with it. In fact, you can't tell it is on the car at all. Its self healing properties came in handy when my bottom bumper rubbed a curb. The expel was roughed up (not my paint!) and I was able to smooth out the expel with a hair dryer.

I hope you enjoy your Karm as much as I am mine.

This is pretty basic, but make sure that you have the 110V charger and have the dealer plug it into an outlet and make sure the lights on it all turn green, then plug it into your car to make sure it charges.

On a related not, make sure the battery is charged enough for the electric range display to show above zero. You don't want to set off in a car with less than 15% charge.

And don't forget to post some photos here. As we say around here: "no photos = didn't happen." :D

Richard, Fab, EVer1, THANK YOU! The dealer has another EcoSport, Silver wind, (but with monsoon interior) that did not get the tint and clear bra, so I will see if I can line up pictures side by side so people can see the difference tint and clear bra makes before we head for home. (since i've seen this topic debated, but no side-by-side pics).

Again, any additional tips are well appreciated. Including any start up sequence that you find critical, or other dos/don't to help achieve zen and good Karma.
