OK, I have experienced most of the little glitches that had been described in this forum. But 4 of the last 6 times i started the car, the sound system did not operate. You push the button and get a blank screen, except for the button that controls the bass, treble, etc. But there is no sound, although the switch on the steering wheel operates to adjust the non-existant volume.

Anybody had this problem? Anybody have a fix outside of a hard reset?

I have had the system freeze with the Fisker logo on the screen, but when I get past that screen, everything at least responds. It would probably be better to take it to dealer to document the problem before you try a hard reset that would wipe out all the error codes. This sounds like another problem caused by a bad connector somewhere.

I've had that issue when my Bluetooth thinks my iPhone is on a call - had to do a soft reboot to clear it.

I usually get the sound to come on by selecting music from BT for a few seconds and then selecting satellite or radio.

I've had it a few times as well, but I've never lost the screen before. Each time it's returned after the next start. I'm going to load some music on my phone and give Sigurd's method a try next time.

I will try to shed some light on what may be happening as far as the sound when you use the control on the steering wheel does the sound level show up on the touch screen .Does the number go up and down ?? Also most of the time when this happens the volume level display won't go to mute . Only right now that fixes that is letting the car go to sleep. Sleep is when the gear shift indicator goes dark .Wake the car up again and sound should come back .

Another problem to keep an eye open is if the touch screen starts doing weird things as in coming on and going out buzzing sound from the speakers when the car is in the ACC mode and no volume set on the radio .If the screen stays on the Logo and never gets past that the dealer needs to look at the CIU for any water present on the connection on the back of the CIU .

Also keep in mind the time from when you see the Logo till you see the agree button isn't always the same amount of time I've had them take up to a minute to get past the Logo screen

My experience has been that if the system fails to get to the Agree screen within 10 or so seconds of displaying the logo, it will never get to the Agree screen until after a soft reset. This has happened to me 4-5 times in 1600 miles.

Yes, when you use steering wheel volume control, the screen shows the volume numbers and they change when I change them. And yes, the time lapse before pushing "agree" on the opening screen varies. But no to all of the other issues you describe.[hr]

what do you all mean by a "soft reset"?

I have seen an issue where there is no volume at 04-06 or so, but you get something way up at 15-16, though all the controls work. clears on key cycle. Last I heard (mid-last week) was that it was known issue. Similarly there is an issue with BT not sending the end signal properly and causing the command center to stay on, even though the care is off.

Agree with Dennis that if the Fisker Logo is the only thing that shows up and stays on, the system is toast and you need to let the car go back to sleep before restarting. Doesn't happen very often.

I've had this happen once. The command center and radio stayed on all night and went back to normal after the second restart of the next day. Weird stufff, but OMG do I love this car!!

Is the soft reboot procedure to simply exit, lock the door and walk away from the car for a period of time return and start normally? The only issue I have had (knock on wood) is The start engine light that was reset before I left the dealer came on again upon being restarted. Granted I did bobble the remote switches getting back in the car. I've read so much Fisker .... I've started to forget the basics I read 6 months ago.

You just described the soft reboot procedure. As for the BT thinking you're still on a call, that happened to me while driving today. I noticed the car said I was connected but when I looked at my iPhone, clearly I was not. So, I just originated another call from my iPhone and when it start ringing, I ended the call on the phone, not the car and the radio started working immediately.
Cheers,
