Btw, I read in the above that the Volt uses only 65% of its 16.7 kwh battery to get 38 miles of range. If that's the case, that would give it an impressive 3.5 miles per kwh. The Karma uses 85% of its 20.1 kwh, to give it 1.9 miles per kwh. Not sure what percentage the Model S uses, but in 'range mode' using most if not all of the 85 kwh battery, the Model S has an efficiency of 3.1 miles per kwh.
