To avoid the following problems 12 volt battery going dead and the car not going to sleep and the TPI staying on extended times please un-pair you blue tooth phone or any blue tooth electronics from the car do this using the TPI . If you don't unpair you may have those problems .

New software will take care of this which may be out very soon

TPI = Touch Panel Interface, i.e., the big touch screen, correct?

Yes you are correct from what I understand it needs to be done on that removing it from the phone can still keep the CIU active

Yeah, maybe this was the issue today, because I finally got tired of the radio yesterday and plugged in the USB and the whole dash did a blackout reset. So, today I was playing bluetooth music and I used to turn off my Bluetooth antenna before, but today I did not. I got in the car after work and the speedometer didn't work and the music was cutting in and out, so I did a soft reset and got the speedo back but it refused to play BT after that.

ever since I stopped using the BT pairing with my iPhone, I have not had any need for rested at all- it seems the BT is the primary trigger for many other issues. When I was using BT I would have to reset almost every time with different and random issues.
