It is now time that we band together and drive to Washington.

It is time that we show the US and the rest of the world what we have accomplished and what more Fisker can do the with balance of the loan as originally awarded.
It is time that we show America that Fisker should be allowed to draw on the remaining funds so that we can produce the Atlantic by the hard working hands of Wilmington, DE. Both Fisker Automotive (Staff, Investors, Owners) and the State of Delaware deserve this!

The market has proven that an electric car company can make it (IF) they have access to their entire loan. Tesla has proven it. Fisker should have an equal chance to prove it as well. I'm confident we have a much greater chance of and acceptance if awarded the remaining balance of the loan. Fisker can employ hundreds if not thousands IF these funds are released. This is one of, if not the largest Venture deals of our time. There is taxpayer money & hundreds of Delaware jobs at stake.

Let's get charged up and see this through!

I'd be driving all the way from California but you're right it's time to do something bold to turn around the petty critics and demonstrate the brilliance of this piece of American design and ingenuity. I just had a founder of an electric bicycle company in my car with his girlfriend and they were ooing and ahing at the interior. People love this car in person but the Internet in this case is crippling the perception. A train of fiskers driving to Washington would get some notice!
...and they were ooing and ahing at the interior...
With all respect to the cause, you could hardly storm Washington and demand that the funds be released so that such awesome interiors can continue to be produced :dodgy:
Ya OK I need to work on my messaging  but I'm proud as an American the Fisker has the styling to match any "European" car. What other American automaker has accomplished that?
AnOutsider, it would be great for some Teslas to join us in solidarity and table Elon and Henrik's petty squabble. You in? It'll be like the old days of cross-country collegiate solar car racing when Missouri monster trucks tried to run the solar cars off the road and Indiana schoolkids yelled reactionary insults at us from their schoolbuses!

Heh. I'd love to see a mix of both companies. I'd honestly welcome a range extender in the s, and another designer over Franz. I think henriks design and tesla's tech could make a good union... But would they ever agree? We may have airborne bacon before that...
Let's call it Fisker's "Electric Victory Drive Across America". Tell people along the way they've each loaned Tesla $3 and Fisker $1 so far. We can solve our oil dependence with electric drive and homegrown nuclear, natural gas and renewables, or spend thousands per taxpayer on more wars in the Middle East or hundreds per taxpayer on emergency cleanup of swamped coastal cities.
pythagoras - I like it! Fisker's "Electric Victory Drive Across America" I hope and trust our President can appreciate our 'grass roots marketing' across our great country.

I would love to see hundreds of Fisker Owners participate it this event. Heck - I would be thrilled to see GM (Volt) and Tesla owners too. This will be a historic event that Fisker Auto and the entire industry needs. This should open the eyes and hearts of American's, and perhaps put more attention on the Fisker / Delaware. In the least, I would hope that Fisker will be allowed to draw on the remainder of the loan as a result of this event.

The owners and investors of Fisker really need to get behind our company more than ever before. We need to make a historic and bold move that only us will ever dare to do.

Let's do this!!!!
I love the idea
Sounds crazy, small chance of success... i'M IN!!!
I'd do it in a heartbeat!!!

While I appreciate the sentiment, this idea needs more time in the oven. "Fisker's Electric Victory Drive Across America"?? At 20 MPG??? Or will you be stopping to recharge for six hours every 40 miles?

As we approach yet another financial crisis, I don't think Americans want to be reminded that they've "loaned Tesla $3 and Fisker $1 so far" for the development of expensive cars only the rich can afford.

Right now Fisker's most likely path to survival is selling a majority stake to a Chinese company. I'm not sure you'll get a lot of traction advocating that more money be loaned to a Chinese owned company. If anything you should be confronting opposition to the sale by pointing out that it means the existing $193M will have a chance at being paid back.

Don't get me wrong. I think a group drive would be cool. Show people how great the cars are. Help grow awareness about Fisker the car and the company. Promote the concept of PHEVs and driving on electricity. Get some nice photos on the National Mall, etc. Those would be both fun and realistic goals. The other stuff in this thread, however, is just half-baked.

Great idea--lots of fun. Until everybody finds out we've all been running on gas at 20mpg for the last 3 days since we probably haven't found a 220v outlet since we left our homes. Not to mention the $100m + price tag that we all kicked in. Don't think this will go over big with the 99%
Hmm, how about local drives, including all the plug in electrics? Fisker, Tesla, Volt, etc. Maybe all on the same day, to our local state capitals?

Agreed re: Fisker/Tesla squabble. Just because Elon and Henrik have a disagreement, doesn’t mean the electric vehicle enthusiasts need to join in. For us, promoting EV needs to be brand blind. Kind of like most of us already own, or have owned many automobile brands. For EV to be successful multiple brands are a requirement. One would think that the interested parties would have figured that one out by now.
I'm in any way I can be.
