Hi all,

Just a thought, but looking for discussion.

If the OEM Fisker workshop tester software was only available for download off the old Fisker Automotive website.

If whoever had a chance to download it. Should it not be still in the download folder of the original download destination?

Has anyone looked for the file .zip or .exe ? Or can maybe help me understand how software like this could vanish off the face of the earth.

I'm guessing it would be a large file maybe like 500 mb or larger?

Who here had a chance to download it?

Again the workshop tester or fisker prodis software is not the issue. It's the WDI interface tool that is obsolete.
As for the software I'm not an IT professional but I was with Fisker since day 1 and when the scan tools were sent to the dealers they had the promise software on them. It was not downloaded in that manner. There are multiple files/directories we have tried to just put it on other laptops and it never works. But we can copy the hard drive and duplicate it. But the point is I can sell copies of it all day long and it's useless without a connection to the car. It won't go past the 1st screen. I've reached out to a few companies and no one will replicate the wdi for me due to copyright laws from DSA. DSA won't help for a laundry list of reasons I won't bother listing here. Trust me I've tried just about everything.

I hear you there.

I picked up some of these "useless" OBD thing a ma jigs.

Maybe I could send over a CF-53 and one of the DSA WDI-2X.

If these suckers communicate with the Karma - you keep one WDI-2X and clone me a Tough Book CF-53.

I have the original laptops Fisker used I have a source for them in order for Prodis to work properly you need to basically have the same model with the same processor. As mentioned the WDI is the problem .
When Fisker came out with Karma Sync myself and Joe did the beta testing unfortunately my Karma Sync has a log on screen and I don’t remember the log on or user name. It’s also possible it won’t work since it doesn’t have a server to verify. I need someone who cracks programs they have a program that runs though the program and looks for the key needed to change to call out.
Gill from Fisker was in charge of the development of the Karma Sync Fisker lost the licensing so they developed Karma Sync which basically Prodis with some change to GUI. I’ve checked in the computer’s registry but I don’t have enough knowledge with Registry changes

I'd recommend running a virtual machine with an image of the original laptop. Should work and allow us to easily share the "laptop" as a file. I'm happy to assist with that aspect and would permit us to run the laptop on any hardware we want. The primary issue remains; are there any WDI's that will properly interface with our Karmas (that we can still buy)?
