Supposedly they'll show it at the NY Auto Show in a few weeks.

As I posted on TMC, I'm really interested in seeing this. Seems like they either got funding (private or DoE) or theyre trying to drum up interest for funding. I'd imagine it'll be slated for 2014ish if they move ahead with plans again.

My suggestion is to add 'Export Power' on Nina. It is great for emergency backup and/or roadside battery charging assistance for a Leaf or a Tesla.
Fisker is unveiling it on April 3rd. They will be providing a "business update" at the unveiling... this sounds very encouraging. Hopefully they've secured financing and will be moving forward with production. VP Biden has seen the car in full, and described it as "a four-door Ferrari".

If they have secured financing and are moving forward with Nina, it should help everyone feel much better about the stability of Fisker, and their chances for long-term success.

I might not agree with Biden a lot, but from those lines I believe he might be right (even though I can't see 4 doors).
Looks like a two seat sport coupe to me.

@doug - Thanks for this update. As the first Nina deposit holder in Canada I can't wait to see what the real thing looks like.
Have marked it in my calendar.

I have seen the real thing and you will not be disappointed.

I'd be happy to hear that they have sufficient cash on hand to reach cash flow positive with the Karma, which is their current publicly stated plan, and an update on how many Karmas they have delivered. That would ensure the short term viability of the company, which is what many owners are worried about.

Nina has to be at least two years away. I agree that it is necessary for long term success, but I selfishly want the company to focus 98% of its energy on getting the Karma right and reaching cash-flow positive in that business.[hr]

Wow, according to the article, Joe Biden is one of a few people outside of the company who have seen it. So were you there with Joe, Leo and Al (Gore)? :D

Biden saw it two years ago and it has changed a bit since then. Most recently, we both saw pictures of it at the Palo Alto presentation. I had seen two different versions of the actual car at Fisker Headquarters and also at an event at the Peterson Auto Museum in LA.

I agree, and if they can secure financing for Nina, it's likely a sign the lender feels good about their current business with the Karma.

You've been holding back on us Fab. Come on, any hints? Does it sit as low as the Karma (hopefully, yes)? Surely you can figure out a loophole in their NDA and tell us everything. :D

I am working on that. I should have it done no later than April 4. :D
Here's a cool pic to give an idea of what the Nina could look like in relation to the Karma... its from AutoExpress:

Doesn't look like there'll be much trunk space. Hopefully they can shrink down those inverters by the time they ship. There are SiC and GaN IGBTs available these days.
Fabulist, How does it compare to the Karma? Size, interior etc..
That AutoExpress-rendering is pretty useless. It assumes the Nina has the same height as the Karma (= as low as a Porsche) and starts from there. But if that starting point is wrong then every other proportion is wrong. I think the Nina will probably be a bit higher than the Karma and will be a bit longer than this picture suggests. Fisker has always said the Nina will be 'BMW 5-size'. That would mean just 10 cm or 4 inches shorter than a Karma. This picture already cuts off that much at the front and a lot more at the back.
