After the pictures with the car half covered, someone has now managed to take a picture of the Nina (with the name sign 'Atlantic') on what looks like the floor of the New York Auto Show. And there's a frontal picture too, not sure where that was taken (the background looks photoshopped). Anyway, the Atlantic is gorgeous. Fiskers future looks bright with such another stunning car.

It looks promising. These aren't form NY...they are press shots that have now been leaked before the embargo. Autoblog and all other news outlets all have these pictures plus many more, however, they are not supposed to break the embargo until a certain date/time.

WOW - simply STUNNING. I'll take one (or two)! Here's for hoping we Karma owners get special (discounted) pricing and priority over other general buyers!

PS - I actually like the front angle on this car (maybe even more than the Karma?) - the grill looks a bit less smiley. [hr]

Here's a comparison with the Tesla Model S... NO CONTEST IMO :shy:

One can only imagine what the Model S would have looked like had Henrik stayed on as their designer....

P.S. Unlike the original Karma concept car, the Atlantic actually looks like a pre-production car... notice the B-pillars... also, does that look like the engine exhaust in front of the driver's door? Looks so tiny! Fisker should have kept the Karma's door handles for the front doors... let's keep some more design consistency! I love the way the back door handles are hidden so this looks even more like a coupe!

Btw, I see how this could be mistaken for a Ferrari...

Agreed! The Tesla looks pretty unremarkable and very much like a lot of other cars on the road. This may have been on purpose in order to blur the distinction between an EV and a conventional car. Henrik, on the other hand, seems to go in the exact opposite direction and design cars that are absolutely stunning and also happen to be EVs.

Speaking of conventional, I do think that the switch back to a more conventional door handle from the "Open" button is actially an improvement.

1st of April - hope it is not a joke. Fabulist since you have seen the car, is the one pictured the real deal ?

If it looks anything like the pic I could not be happier with my deposit :)
Yes. It looks like the real deal, particularly the panoramic roof, which is basically the Karma's roof without the solar panels. Some of the details look different, but overall, it looks like the real deal.

NINA mistaken for a Ferrari?
NEVER :D
Especially the $40,000 sticker price
Let's not get carried away now.
The Nina aka Atlantic looks BETTER than the Ferrari =) But regardless, my comment was in response to VP Biden's comment last year that the Nina looked like a "four door Ferrari" and how he "couldn't believe it'll cost $40,000!"

Btw, the base price will likely be in the $50K range after tax credits...

Don't get me wrong. I love FISKER.
But I just don't like the idea of my Landscaper's driving a Fisker also.
Fisker that looks like a Ferrari.
Sorry Guys.
I don't think there is much risk of your landscaper buying a Fisker until they come out with the SUV model :p

But remember, Fisker is planning on becoming a major car manufacturer that sells hundreds of thousands of cars a year down the road. They have to start making and selling cars to the 99%, including your landscaper, at some point to make this happen. Just like Porsche sells 911 GT3s to folks like yourself and Boxters and Caymans to the 99%. At some point, you will have to dial down the elitism, or get a different landscaper.
