I just purchased a beautiful earth coloured Fisker. Last friday was the big day that we could pick up the vehicle. Allas after about 100 meters we heard a whining sound coming from the front of the car. The sound came and went and slowly got louder. Returned to the dealer and had their chief mechanic have a look. When he drove the car the sound came back once very loud. We could not reproduce it after that so we started on our home trip. After 500 meters the high coolant temperature light came on, so we returned to the dealer again, barely making it with a lot of steam coming out of the lefthand side of the engine.
The dealer called Kroymans ( the dutch Fisker Dealer ) for help. Now comes my problem... They have two trained mechanics. One has just left for three weeks summer vacation and the other is on sick leave. We have checked if the car has the new fan installed and that is the case. According to my dealer the system pumps the coolant on the cool side around but not on the hot side. However nobody knows how to solve this problem. Does anybody have any ideas otherwise i will have to wait at least another two and a half weeks before i can start enjoying " my precious"

OUCH!! Dude. Very sorry. All I can say is "Trust me, when it's all fixed and better, you'll still think it was totally worth it to buy the car!!" (And, if you're married, well ... best of luck convincing your spouse of that!).

The engine cooling fan isn't working correctly has nothing to do with the coolant pumps. Just like any other car in the world they use a electric fan to cool the gas engines coolant. Most people's complaints is the AC isn't cold when they are in stop and go traffic but cooler when on the highway.
It first starts out as sometimes this happens but over the next couple of weeks more often then stops completely then the gas engine overheats I replace the fans on a weekly bases. One reason why we mention to let the car go to sleep before plugging the charger in . The fans runs when you don't let it go to sleep another reason to have 520 installed .

Congrats on the Fisker and that your problem is solved. I ave an Earth Color EcoChic and it is superb looking in the sun, shade, rain, etc. The color is priceless!. Good luck with the car and many happy years of motoring.
