I was just notified that my Fisker Karma has arrived in Detroit. I will be going to the dealer to check it out this week. I am not overly concerned about software issues since these are easily addressed through subsequent releases. However, I would like to know if there are other deficiencies that I should look for before taking delivery? One such issue is the paint problem that Brian experienced. How do I identify this issue or is it obvious to the naked eye? Anything else I should be aware of? Thanks.

Under the right light, you'll see an eggshell look versus a very smooth and glossy finish. It should reflect the light or any images clearly, not cloudy or out of focus. Not sure what color you went with, but the solid colors should be able to do this easily. The upgraded finishes are more difficult to achieve this kind of clarity. But as many will say, for over $100k, it should be an expectation.

Would you refuse delivery if you had orange peel vs. the mirror finish?

I'm quite happy with how the finish looks, especially in its natural habitat outside:

Note the reflected image of my house:
