Kinda odd location for a charging port...
The Mercedes S-Class Plug-in Hybrid is inching closer to production as the company has begun filing patents for the model.
Set to be called the S500 Hybrid Plus, the model has a familiar design but is distinguished by a revised grille, a new exhaust system and a modified rear bumper with a charging port.
Under the hood, we can expect a 3.5-liter V6 engine and a 109 HP (80 kW) electric motor that is powered by a lithium-ion battery.
