Hi Everyone,
So my Fisker seems to make lots of creeking noises when I drive, especially on bumpy roads. The dash seems to not be completely secured tight. I also get wind noise when driving. LORMAX did tell me that all Karmas make these noises and some more than others, but it is fixable. LORMAX changes my car oil and our friends and family Karma's along with anything else we need. He knows the car well, so it gives us good confidence. He is super buy and I wish the solution was cheaper than LORMAX hourly fee to fix, so I was wondering if any of you have fixed these problems with just a regular car mechanic. I would still suggest not going to anyone but a FISKER expert and in my case LORMAX for any Karma mechanical issues.

I'm not sure what to say here. Whether I'm busy or not, schedule the time and that time slot is yours. Finding the causes of noises can take time. Dash rattles can be time consuming to pinpoint. Then there's accessing whatever part or parts are causing the noise. With all that said, I've seen a number of places where the dash, door panels, etc can rattle from now, and fixed a number of them. I still need the time to verify the rattle and perform the repair. For cost, I'm cheaper than any dealer out there.

You bought a $100,000 car, but you are going to go cheap on the maintenance because you judge Lormax' fee to be expensive?! If you can't afford Lormax, then perhaps you shouldn't have bought a Karma.

And for the record, Lormax has worked on my Karma a number of times. His fee is entirely reasonable; he is knowledgeable; he is honest and fair. Lormax is bargain.

And I might add...'regular mechanics' are not frequenting these forums trying to help us out with our Karmas in the same way Lormax and Harleyguy do on a daily basis. Sure, it's a way for them to advertise their skills/services. But they've given away a TON of advice to owners who might never pay them because they are too far outside their geographical areas. Show a little loyalty, eh?

ditto: I just flew Lormax to Toronto to repair a relay.
!. He came
2. He knew exactly what to do and did it ASAP.
3. He checked my car over and and did some other minor repairs.
4. I went to the guy in the know because I did not want someone else messing with my investment
5. I want to build my credibility as a client as I may need him again to continue enjoying my Karma
6. He is forthright, honest and a bargain. Hopefully we get on the other side of this corporate mess with Lormax as the new Fisker's VP of tech services

consider that difference is the fee to his time checking this forum reply to our concerns solve easy fix problem ( like mine with click noise) at no charge ..
letting him / harley guy fix the cars its big money saver .. imagine you go to regular mechanic who have no clue about the fisker ( and if they hear its electric with >500 v battery either they will not touch it or they will charge extra it happen to me it regular tire shop) using those mechanics will take additional hours to figure out what the problem and charge you extra hours fees.,, lormax /harley guy know the car and all problems and they can diagnose and fix in less time ..

I wouldn't trust my car with any mechanic. We have a car that needs a different kind of attention. I agree with everyone that you need to go to the guys who knows.! Lormax has gone above and beyond for me.

OKAY PEOPLE....haha I am also a HUGE TRAVIS fan and also feel that he is not only very reasonable in price but also very honest. He inspected all the Fiskers that I looked at for my family and I, and we have him working on all of them. We have purchased 3 so far. So yes, we are BIG FISKER fans and BIG TRAVIS fans. I was simply trying to see if I can save some time and $. I will check with Travis time schedule. I just remember last time having tro wait a while and it was worth it. That said, he has always picked up my calls or called me back with short time and been super duper helpful. Thanks for your responses and possibly slapping me to wake up before taking it to a regular mechanic and we all know that this is NOT a regular car. haha
