Let's compile links to online retailers selling electric car chargers, for those who would like to order online:

Home Depot | Legrand Electric Vehicle Level 2 Charging Station
http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&productId=203013921

Lowe's | GE Universal Wall Mounted Electric Car Charger
http://www.lowes.com/pd_107343-76863-EVWSWBC-CP01_0__?productId=3506910&Ntt=car+charger&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl__0__s%3FNtt%3Dcar%2Bcharger&facetInfo=

Lowe's | Square D Universal Wall Mounted Electric Car Charger
http://www.lowes.com/pd_382390-296-EV2430WS_0__?productId=3585682&Ntt=car+charger&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl__0__s%3FNtt%3Dcar%2Bcharger&facetInfo=

Both Home Depot and Lowe's sometimes offer sizable online coupons, so it might pay off to do a quick Google search for a coupon before you buy.

Has anyone measured the actual cost to fully charge the battery when it's at that 15% level . If so how many kwts. did it take and what rate per kwt. are you using.

US only: Www.chargepointamerica.com

ChargePoint is supplying FREE (DOE subsidized) chargers for qualifying electric (including Karma) owners, and for me at least (in California), installation was subsidized by up to $1200, which paid for all costs excluding permitting. See the website for details.

I'm right behind you on this. SolarCity did my site survey today in preparation for installation. I should get the proposal and contract next week while I'm in China. Hope to get the installation done shortly after my return.

If you are interested in a really cool charging station solution - check out

http://www.controlmod.com/

This company makes overhead retractable cord charging stations. We installed one in a public garage / condominium and it provides security to prevent unauthorized access (rfid badge activated) and also keeps the cord contained in the overhead housing. It is not cheap, nor is it compact, but it works well and provides a great looking solution. Check out the video on the provided link that shows the unit working with both an overhead garage solution as well as a street level solution. The unit looks so much better when charging our Karma, but we haven't gotten around to making a video of our installation.
