No the key is not to leave the key in the car always keep it in your pocket .
Thats more then a fair price to program the key fob .Ira, your car was not completely asleep. I had mine powered down overnight and with the trunk release button depressed, it wouldn't open the trunk. Trust me, I had the trunk release, the door unlock, and the power buttons pressed and the car didn't react.
My new fob just arrived and the Subaru/Cadillac/Fisker dealer in Roswell Georgia is able to program it for $65. I will have two fobs then.
Was the key fob in the same pocket as your smartphone? I've seen it block the signal from the fob when the fob was on the clear plexiglass with the phone propped on top of it.I had reception issues when doing that so I keep it in the front cup holder usually. Maybe I need key implant surgery.
At this point, not available. The only way to get the metal key inserts was by ordering a new lock cylinder. It would come with 2 key inserts that matched it. Fisker doesn't have any of these in stock, last I've heard. I've never seen an uncut one, ever.Looking for uncut mechanical key insert. The metal key insert didn't come with the new Fob.
