As the title indicates, I have noticed a repeatable situation. When the car is running and my front passenger door is opened for a passenger to get in or out, the missing key fob indicator lights up on my dashboard (along with the annoying chime). I have to switch the car off and wait for the PRNDL lights to go off before starting the car again.

When restarting the car, it often takes multiple attempts at pressing the EVER button before the car starts up again normally.

Any idea what is going on? I have tried changing the batteries in my key fob but that has not helped.

The workaround is to wait for the passenger to get into the car before starting the car up (which is often a problem because I have to get the car out of the garage for my wife to get in).

Thoughts?

Simon
