Well that topic title probably made no sense to anyone, but "Glorious Leader" is actually the name of the cargo vessel that my car is supposedly on. My dealer just called to let me know that my car was on the boat and was due to arrive on US soil November 30th. Yay! In theory that means I should have my car mid-December.

My VIN is #500, so if you've got a VIN less than that, and you know there were no extraneous delays on your car then it's probably safe to say your car is on its way as well.

The Glorious Leader can be tracked here: http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais

Brian, this link will take you right to the ship:

I'll be a banner day when someone on these forums actually takes delivery of their actual car!

I did a little research on the shipping schedule for Glorious Leader, and as far as I can tell it has never been to Finland and has no plans on ever going there. I remember hearing that the cars were shipped from Finland to Germany, so I'm guessing they change boats there because Glorious Leader is going to dock in Bremerhaven before heading to North America. Bremerhaven must be where the cars go first. Anyone know?

It makes sense. Maybe the number of Karma's is not big enough to have this huge boat, which can carry thousands of cars, come all the way to Finland. It would make sense to bring the Karma's to northern Germany first and then have them board the Glorious Leader as it heads for North America (probably stuffed with Audi's, BMW's and Porsches as well).

On Google Earth there is clearly a huge parking lot in Emden which is the boats next stop tomorrow, but the parking lot in Bremerhaven is MASSIVE! That's gotta be where the Karma's are waiting to get loaded.

Saw an interesting tidbit from a Wall Street Journal article dated today:

Ormisher said the car company had 40 vehicles delivered to dealers and 120 cars on the water, as of Friday. This week the company was hoping to get beyond 200 cars for sale in the U.S.

The full article is here:
http://blogs.wsj.com/venturecapital/2011/11/15/a-green-light-for-fiskers-karma-but-how-green-is-the-car/?mod=google_news_blog

Not much new, but it does mention the CARB certification and California's "only-average" emissions rating of the ICE.

Depending on how Fisker gets the cars from Finland to Germany, my car may be on the Glorious Leader, or on the next ship that leaves for the US next Thursday. Let's hope it is sooner rather than later.

Looks like the Glorious Leader is heading back east to Zeebrugge. The cars coming to the US must have been transferred to another ship at Southmapton. Any idea which ship is carrying the Karmas to the new world this time?

I saw that too. I'm confused about that because my dealer said it was to arrive on the Glorious Leader on the 30th. The other day I found a web site that had the future itinerary for the ship and it showed it being in NY on December 1st. Unfortunately, I can't find that site again. So, I imagine it's going back to Zeebrugge for some good reason (someone left their wallet at the local Taco Bell) and then it'll be off to the New World.

I found this map showing the shipping route:

You can also look up Glorious Leader on the shipper's web site and it has a full schedule along with a map showing the schedule: http://sagaweb.2wglobal.com/AppSchedules/vesselSearch.do

According to their schedule it will arrive in NY on the 30th.

I hope mine doesn't follow the same route. With my delays it'll be WW3 before mine leaves port! And the subs these days are nastier than the U Boats of yesterday. Glorious Leader wouldn't stand a chance.
