Karma wont remeber settings. Check engine P0A7B P0A80

999 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Fixsker
I have an issue with my karma where the check engine light is on and the setting on the car are reverted back to default every time the car is turned off and on. This is extremely annoying because every time I turn on the car I would have to change the time zone and the measurements before being able to drive it. I checked the car with an OBD and it gave me these two codes P0A7B and P0A80. I'm not very educated about cars. If anybody knows how to fix this I would appreciate the help.

In order to fully understand the CEL fault, You need to have a Prodis report ran from a fisker computer. The standard ODB2 tool does not read the detailed Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
There is a really smart guy that has a YouTube channel that I think encountered the same code that you have, P0A7B. The time marked video is here:
Looks like a battery issue and if you have a good mechanic, he can repair this problem without any special tools. Beware of folks on this forum attempting to make loads of money on your car problems. There is a company in Arizona that was trained on how to diagnose and repair battery problems by Afternoon Garage. There are many things you can do on this car yourself, or with the assistance of YOUR good mechanic and a lift. In fact, Afternoon Garage has successfully repaired almost 20 cars now with problems like yours. The Fisker Karma is a nice car but not all of the mechanics that work on these cars are trustworthy. Don't make yourself a victim to these people. Give the videos a watch. Good luck!

Careful… that “Afternoon Garage” guy uses faulty processes and has a law suite against him from Fisker owners for faulty battery workmanship. The Arizona guy uses OEM parts and was trained by Fisker/Karma trained employees, not the “Afternoon Garage” guy!

This is a lie. Afternoon Garage has now repaired over 20 cars with the same methods used in the video. How would he be sued for successful battery repairs? There is no "suite" as you say. The Afternoon Garage guy trained you, Fixsker and I have the receipts to prove it. I get it. You have overhead, employees, rent, etc. No reason to bash the people that put you in that place. Other than to prove my point that you "Fisker Service" people are scammy and will say and do anything to "earn" peoples business by fabricating lies to make yourself look good. You are trying awfully hard to discredit Afternoon Garage that makes NO MONEY from publicly disclosing how to remove the battery pack, diagnose and repair the defective module. He has nothing to gain but it looks like you, Fixsker have everything to lose. You gonna "suite" him for lost business for putting out free videos? Looks like you just proved my point. Now... watch those videos and DIY!!!
WOW! Sorry, didn’t mean to offend you. But your facts are incorrect.
