Seems a little too close to the car in front...

Looks like an ex military leader parked it :)
Ha! Exactly what I was thinking. What with it being crooked and pulled way too far forward.
Ok, I gotta ask all of you. Front Plate.... where the heck is it supposed to go? In my state we have to install it. or put it on the dashboard. I really don't want to deface that beautiful front end with a license plate.
Go without until you get a fixit ticket, then install in using a tow hook bracket.

And then remove it again after getting the fixit signed off and paying the $25 fine (in CA).

Utah apparently requires a front plate as well:

Federal standards require that every vehicle manufactured for sale in the United States must have the capability of mounting a license plate on the front and rear of the vehicle. If you contact the vehicle dealer, they can obtain the necessary kit for mounting a front license plate.
Not sure where it will wind up. The photo I have of the front of the Karma at the dealer here has no front plate...

I'm not sure where it will wind up either, but there is a front plate mount supplied with the car. It was in the trunk compartment with the 110 charger and the air compressor for fixing flats when I took delivery yesterday.
This is typical for Dutch parking garages: always too small, too tight (judging by the license plate the picture was taken in my country).

atleast in the netherlands that is...

(no sorry that is not my car :-/)[hr]
This is in Utrecht by the way, charging at an inner-city charge-point:

For 100 Euro per year you can charge at these points and park you car. With city parking rates this alone is a huge contributor to buy an electric car....

Here in Illinois we are required to have a front plate. At a track day I met an Illinois Corvette owner whose car wore no front plate. One time he said he got pulled over and the cop says he doesn't have a front plate on the car. He says sure I do, it's on the back. Cop goes back there and sees both plates layered together on the back. He laughs and says get out of here!

I've been driving my Jaguar for almost a year with no front plate; it came from Arizona so no front bracket. Haven't been cited for it yet, but if need be, the plate's in the trunk.
Here in California they also require a front license plate. I've been driving a 1995 car that has no front plate and been stopped by police three times for other reasons and they never made a comment about the missing plate. I also carry it in the trunk. I plan to do the same with my Karma (but hopefully without the police stops).
If I would do that here I would get pulled over 5 times every month. And after a few citations they would probably impound the car until I put a license plate on the front.

Right... you wont be pulled over in your new car..... really? I think it would be a great excuse for any officer to get a better look at the car.

That's a great idea to protect the front end. I'm thinking of mounting it so low that it becomes the front air dam and preserves the one on the car :)
