Despite the deafening radio silence from :fisker:, things appear to be moving ahead. Looks like I will finally get to actually drive an example of the car I ordered 3+ years ago. Now this is real progress. :thumbup:

Which dealer are you connected with? My guy in Colorado finally gave me a production date (August 30), but had no clue about when they would receive a demo, much less when my car would actually arrive.

@Richard: My dealer is Fisker Marin (http://goo.gl/5Nloz) in Northern California. They are not receiving their own demo yet, Fisker is having a road show. So my dealer will have the cars there for just two days, july 28 and 29. You should check with your dealer to see if they are part of the road show.

Encouraging to hear that test drives are actually being scheduled. I'll check with my dealer next week, although if it's a road show (where are the actual dealer demo cars??) it might take a while to get to the East coast. We'll see.

As a follow-up, after contacting my dealership yesterday, just got my schedule slot for a "tutorial" (20 minutes) and test drive (20 minutes) on September 1st. Looks like East Coast dealerships (South Florida) are a month behind CA.

Also was contacted re: the EV Connect charger with a promise that their website and more information would be available soon.

For those of you who have July slots, a lot of us are anxiously awaiting your assessment.

For those of you who have July slots, a lot of us are anxiously awaiting your assessment.

That's a good point, and I will try to do video as much of the test drive as possible without being totally obnoxious about it. Those of you with earlier test drive dates, please try to do the same. Bring a friend or SO (and/or spouse) along to video the experience while you are driving, if at all possible.

Just got a call from Fisker. "Road Show" hits my dealership in New England on Sept. 24th. I'm not sure how much benefit that will be as the general manager at my dealer said he's expecting demo(s) by end of July/early August. But, I did get a production date today (9/14). Woot! Woot! Hopefully, I actually like driving the car!

Yep, it's before. But, given they are just carting a couple of cars around the country and New England might be the end of the road, I'm not surprised the road show is after the production date of my car. It just means it will be pointless for me, but not for others that are waiting before they order their car, or for those that haven't even seen/heard about it yet.

Got a call from Fisker yesterday to let me know about the road trip and to make sure I was signed up for a test drive. It was a nice gesture.

I didn't get a call. I checked with the Dallas dealer today and was told the Road Show will be here on Aug. 13th. He added the production date on their first demo was July 14th and they expect the car in 4 to 6 weeks now so it should arrive around the same time as the Show.

Just confirmed with my dealer that despite the recent news stories, my car is still scheduled for production on August 30 (2011, we hope) and would be in my hands in late October or early November. Looks like the dealers are sticking with their story. Let's hope everyone is on the same page.

Was just confirmed from my Denver dealer today for an August 9th test drive. 2 at a time, every 20 minutes, beginning at 10 on a Tuesday morning. It'll be interesting to see how many deposit holders actually show up, and how many have just been waiting to drive it before putting money down. I do believe HD video and high quality action shots will be flooding this site any day now.
