Just lost Vancouver BC CSP provider

How ironic! I was scheduled to take my Karma to The BMW store today in Vancouver BC,, my closest CSP provider, (4 hous away), only to learn yesterday they are no longer a CSP provider for our cars. Does this sound familiar to anyone? The next closest is now Pat in San Feancisco. Only a day and a half drive or $2000 round trip on a car mover. I was hoping to get the 530 update, the inspection and have a 12v charging issue looked at that should have been covered under the warranty. Admittedly I am wooed by the new Karma videos from corporate but am finding a hard time mustering faith now.

I think they do repairs still, the warranty coverage is just over, correct?

"The CSP program ends 1/31/16. Actually, you need to make an appointment for service/repair/upgrade by 1/31/16 and have the work performed by 4/30/16."
correct, however, they don't/won't get the 530 software and my issue should have been warranty covered as I alerted fisker well in advance of the end date and I had the appt made prior to 1/31. So, I'm feeling a little slighted.
I got the 530 update from them. Don't they just have it on a usb thumbdrive?

Actually just checked my invoice, I got the 520 SW update Jan 22/2016. So don't feel bad they screwed me too :)

What is the difference between 520 and 530? I tried to go to fiskers website, but I forgot my password and it is taking forever for them to send it to me. No idea why they would bother password protecting a forum that is just ridiculous.

The only difference I noticed in my 520 update is that I can not make the horn beep when I lock the car. All the other updates I did not even notice a difference.
My car beeped when I locked it after 520. Don't think that 520 would have altered that. Get my car back with 530 tomorrow!

The updates go in through your OBD (On Board Diagnostics) port under the dash. Not through the USB port. And the loading software is on a Karma Laptop .. not actually a part of the car itself.

One assumes that the software updates for the new CA Karmas will be via the internet.

:)
I just had an email from the Vancouver CSP, and also a message on the Karma automotive forum, both saying that the Vancouver CSP is back in business servicing Karmas.

Oh that is good news!
I might be returning to Seattle with my Karma, happy to hear there is a CSP closer than California!
Yeah, I got the same email. 4 hours after I placed my Karma on a transport to San Francisco. Dang! Well, timing is everything.

What is the cost of the transport?
i've paid $850 and $750 to get there and $950 to get it back! two different carriers. it's a shady business...
