If they're going to make their "1500 delivered" number it needs to have a whole lot of other Karmas.Fabulist said:According to the nice folks at Fisker, my car (-641) is loaded on the good ship Tristan and barring any U-Boat or Viking attacks, it will be getting to Newark on Dec. 21, along with a bunch of other Karmas, I would guess.

Has ANYONE who ordered a Signature Edition got their car yet? I remember hearing that at least half the SE cars were to be delivered middle of November... Seems weird that no one has posted about their car if they have taken delivery.ct-fiskerbuzz said:If they're going to make their "1500 delivered" number it needs to have a whole lot of other Karmas.Fabulist said:According to the nice folks at Fisker, my car (-641) is loaded on the good ship Tristan and barring any U-Boat or Viking attacks, it will be getting to Newark on Dec. 21, along with a bunch of other Karmas, I would guess.

Keep in mind that half of those 1500 Karmas are supposed to be delivered to European customers, but without certification they cannot get shipped.ct-fiskerbuzz said:If they're going to make their "1500 delivered" number it needs to have a whole lot of other Karmas.
I just checked with Fisker. NO customer has taken delivery of their car yet. For the first time, I started to sense disappointment in their voice.Fabulist said:I am pretty sure that the membership of the forum represents a fairly small (but very significantThebreadman said:Has ANYONE who ordered a Signature Edition got their car yet? The dealers or Fisker would have a more complete picture of the current state of deliveries, I would guess.

This seems odd since Fisker announced that they had started booking revenues from the sales back in October. And the 1500 is worldwide sales, so only about 800 - 900 of those have to be delivered to the US. Also, maybe there is a difference between "sale" and "delivery".Thebreadman said:I just checked with Fisker. NO customer has taken delivery of their car yet. So with 3 weeks to go in 2011, Ray Lane has a LOT of cars to deliver if he's going to meet his 1500 statement just last week.

Customers should get their cars this week. On another note we have just posted some additional Quick Reference Guides in a Video format at www.youtube.com/karmaowners.

I was just told by HQ Customer Service that all of the Sig. Edition cars are still at the port on the East Coast getting software updates.Thebreadman said:I just checked with Fisker. Not sure why they kept them at the port, since the software updates can be done wirelessly (or so I hear), but I can say that the updated software makes the control panel a lot more responsive. The demo I drove Saturday had the newer software and touch screen action was definitely better than in the earlier demo car (in Nov), with the older software.dennis said:I was just told by HQ Customer Service that all of the Sig. I believe the dealers "own" their demo cars and those 25 or so cars that were delivered were booked as revenue to Fisker. This seems odd since Fisker announced that they had started booking revenues from the sales back in October. @kabalah70 - Since I don't have an SE on order (my Deep Ocean car just started production), I innocently inquired about whether any customer cars had been shipped to dealers. That's when I learned that all of the customer cars shipped thus far were still at the East Coast port getting software upgrades.kabalah70 said:Dennis, I think Customer Service is just telling people what they want to hear. I wouldn't be going thru this whole nut roll if my SE was supposedly there with all the others.
I don't think this is true. I specifically asked my dealer if the car supported over-the-air updates, or if someone needed to physically plug-into and visit each car. The answer is the latter; Fisker doesn't update the cars wirelessly. I'm not sure why this is, but I can speculate on several reasons including the lack of a global wireless standard or infrastructure, data security concerns, and of course to give you a reason to visit your helpful dealer and service center who always seems to be running a special on wipers, or tires, or a car wash, or replacing that dirty air filter, or perhaps you'd be interested in this new model...ct-fiskerbuzz said:Not sure why they kept them at the port, since the software updates can be done wirelessly (or so I hear)
