I live in Texas and the temperatures are now in the 100's some days. Ive noticed two things: are these bugs?

1. Yesterday I turne the AC/Heater off completely but really cold air kept on blowing through the vents. Is this supposed to happen to keep the cabin temperature at whatever it is set on before you shut off the AC?

2. The car runs louder at baseline In the cooler months there was a F sharp hum when the car was at a light. Now there is audibly a louder noise - is this a fan that is on to keep the battery cool?

Thanks

I have noticed the same thing. In fact, in the morning, I just turn the A/C off and the cabin stays sufficiently cool for my commute to Dallas. I have no idea if I save battery or not by doing this as it seems like the compressor stays on.
I have noticed the louder fan outside my car too. I think it's the fans that cool the condenser cores.

I have had the same problem.. The solution I have found was to change the vents to defrost the upper right button

so the air doesn't continue to blow me.. It blows at the front window..
I wish I could just shut the thing off and the fans would stop blowing but it does not not stop.
