Hi all,

A couple of weeks ago I had a fault indicator with my EVConnect-sourced Fisker-branded Lear charger. I tried recyling the breaker to no avail. The folks at EVConnect were great and immediately sent me a new charger and dispatched an electrician to swap out the faulty unit. Props to EVConnect for the great customer service. Interestingly, between the time I contacted EVConnect and the time the replacement arrived the unit reset itself and the fault went away. I had it replaced anyway.

EVConnect sent me a spreadsheet that allowed me to interpret the fault code shown on the device as a sequence of flashing LEDs. My fault turned out to be a "Relay Open Failed", whatever that means :) I've attached the spreadsheet to this post for anyone with the Lear/Legrand EVSE.

See my next post about something very interesting I learned too...

While my car was at Patrick Fisker yesterday the Fisker engineers were there and went over the car. Although the car was running fine the computer showed a "Charge Fault Error" they told me this is caused by waking the car while it is charging (opening the door , trunk, using the key fob etc....).
They warned me not to do this, but to unplug the charger, wake the car then upon it going to sleep to plug it back in, or this error will pop up.

Also as I am installing a 220v charger this weekend they warned me...."If you have the car charging on 220v and you wake the car you must "burn off" some of the charge before plugging it back into the 220v or this will also cause a "charge fault error".

I ended up purchasing the Schneider Electric lever 2 charger instead of the GE for my office. I'll let you know how it goes.

My guy is wiring it up right now. I'll keep you posted.

Yes, the great number of positive reviews is what made me go for this one instead of the GE. It is very small and lightweight (makes me wonder why it cost $749.00).
Also Home Depot had free shipping on it so it cost about $50.00 less than if I had ordered it from Lowes.

Hello Brent,

is it possible for you to put the error code file back at the forum? It is not possible to download it at the moment.

Thanks in advance!
