After many months of visiting my Fisker dealer, test driving the car 3 times, 'visiting' the cars at the dealership countless times, reading just about every comment ever posted here on fiskerbuzz, and communicating with various members of the fiskerbuzz community, I *finally* took the plunge and bought a Fisker Karma!! :D:D:D

It's going to be a Fisker Karma with Laguna exterior and Glacier Tri-Tone EcoChic interior. I'll take delivery of the car in about a week. I'm totally excited!

I know, I know...pics or it didn't happen. And I promise to post some pics as soon as my car arrives.

Finally, I just want to take a moment to thank every fiskerbuzz member who ever responded to any of my posts. You all helped, and I am very appreciative. 'Dutch' answered my questions about his experience with the car in really thoughtful, candid emails; 'Dave_Car_Guy' helped me with some questions I had about solar panels to charge the car. 'ct-fiskerbuzz' gave me some much needed information about the Laguna paint. And I'm especially grateful to 'LonePalmBJ' who generously took time out of his day to spend about an hour on the phone with me answering numerous questions I had about the car from the perspective of an owner; Thank you all!!

And if anyone at Fisker Santa Monica is reading this, thanks for your patience!! :D

Excellent.

I like the glacier tri-tone, but I wasn't sure if that would be too much blue, and also I didn't really want to fork over the extra five grand :D, so I went with basic black. I really do like the black interior, in spite of the hot sun effect here.

Congrats Weird Fishes! My Karma is currently sitting with Fisker SM to get some battery work done. There are a few of us in LA - we should get together at some point! Btw, where in LA are you?

Congratulations Weird Fishes. It has been interesting to watch you doing your DD for this car. I've seen people do it before on this forum and then they take the plunge and they become happy owners. You will too!

Honestly, I think the all black interior is a much better color combination with the Laguna exterior. But I was intent on having an animal free interior, so the black was not an option for me. And between the Earth Tri-Tone and the Glacier Tri-Tone, I think the latter works better with Laguna. If Fisker had offered an all black Eco Chic interior, that is the one I would have chosen.

I'd love to get together once I get my Karma! I live in the hills just above West Hollywood--Sunset Plaza area if you are familiar with it?

Enjoy your Karma! Glad we could be of help. And wow, a Laguna! Was that color on stock, or was it ordered for you?
Apparently, the car was at the port, but had not been shipped to the dealer. I told my dealer what I was looking for, and they were able to snag that car for me. I'm guessing they did a trade with another dealer.[hr]

Cool - I'm familiar with the area (a couple of my friends live just down Sunset, near the Griddle, CB2, etc). I should be back in town in a week, so maybe your first Karma weekend =)

Congrats Ebarneyr! (Hey, I recognize those trees)

Looks to me like the Laguna was worth the wait. Your wheels are different though. How'd you do that?

Did you notice how many miles of battery you regenerated coming down from the tunnel?

So now we have a Karma in Vail and one in Aspen. All is well with the world...

My Laguna was delivered to me last week. Fisker Denver made sure all was working and it is thus far! Great car!

What a stunning color and a nice contrast with the fall colors in the trees in the background. Congratulations! Don't expect to ever get in that car and drive off without talking to a half a dozen admirers and signing a few autographs. :D

Are those the winter wheels?

Congratulations, ebarneyr! It's gorgeous!!

I just visited my car at Fisker Santa Monica yesterday. Before I take possession of it, we're going to do some small modifications (remove all badges, tint windows, XPEL Ultimate clear bra on all painted surfaces, and apply a glossy black film on all chrome elements). I should get the car this Friday!!

Another shout out to Fisker Santa Monica for helping me decide all the little modifications as well as steering me to the best people in town to do the work. This has been the most pleasurable and the most personal car buying experience I've ever had. Everyone there is top notch, and I highly recommend them!

Yes, the wheels with 21 inch tires are the Fisker Snow ones. Since my condo is at 8500 ft. altitude, I had the snow set I had ordered put on for delivery. The Denver dealer is storing the 22 inch ones for me until Spring. We have had a dusting of snow on high passes...and I don't want to get stranded at my condo! Although weather is beautiful today, we can get snow anytime; but, while it is not likely to stay for long until later in the Fall, it can affect my getting from my parking to Snowmelt Road for the brief time it is on the ground. The 21 inch Snow tires handle fine, by the way. And Denver Fisker and the Service Manager Blaise have been great!

Richard: I did not notice the regeneration amount when descending from tunnel....but am seeing good regeneration down from Independence Pass. Please let me know when you will be this way and I will let you know when I am your way. Regards, Bud

Just curious why you would remove all the badges?

Ha! I like the video clip, Fabulist!

I removed the badges because I've never liked the design of the EVer badge on the sides and the trunk lid. The salesman and I decided the Karma should go too because it looked off kilter without the EVer badge on the left side of the trunk to balance it out. I really, really like how it looks all cleaned up!

As for the photos, I am taking care of my Great Dane who just had neck/spinal surgery and a friend who is visiting. I'll try to get at least one or two photos up by week's end. :)

You might regret removing the FISKER badge. Most of the folks hanging around my car have already figured out that it is a Fisker and have Googled to learn who that is. You'll be spelling out F-i-s-k-e-r to everyone who sees your beauty.

I think I confused everyone when I used the word 'badges'.

I only removed 'EVer' and 'Karma' from the trunk and 'EVer' from the front fenders/quarterpanels. The Fisker logo remains on the hood and on the trunk.
