Does anyone know the location of the HVAC module? Mine was replaced during the 530 update but is now has intermittent communications with the CIU. The CIU HVAC buttons stop working randomally. Just wanted to check the connections before I take the long drive back to the CSP. If anyone has a picture of the unit it would be helpful. I should have kept my old one as a paperweight so I would know what it looked like.

It's located on the right side under the dashboard . It's a black box it's very easy to get too and see it has two plugs in it one black the other one white two Phillip screws hold it in.
Just a FYI if your car isn't a later vin you might have the early style module which doesn't accept software .Or at some point you had it replaced even though they said they did 530 your HVAC may or may not of been updated

Thanks for the info. The module had to be replaced when they upgraded to 530. The old module worked just fine but they could not update it to 530.

If its not broke don't fix it really holds true for this one.

Did you pay for a new module ? Or had it replaced while the car was under warranty you can always go back to 520

Yep, $190 for the module plus install labor.
