Do you autofold your mirrors?

So my Earth simply just does not save any settings. I can't change the autofold, nor make the horn honk when I lock. Unlike my Silver which saves all the settings (might be a bad flash to the Earth, and I'm hesitant to do the 12V hard reset for now)... So just curious how many people use the mirror autofold and if you've had any burnout issues or other issues since 510 was released.

Another question could be: Should you autofold your mirrors?

I like using the feature since it reminds me that the car is locked. But I'm concerned about burning out the motors.

The motor burnout was an issue with pre-510 software. Since I upgraded to 510, I have had it on and have not experienced any problems.

The karma was the first car, I heard of burned mirrors. And this was fixed long ago.
As Ira does, I love this kind of "car is locked indicator", as the horn is not allowed in Germany.

I never had have trouble with the mirrors.

I auto-fold mine. The 1 minute delay is a little odd though. For that reason, I have my horn configured to honk when I lock the car.

As an aside, there is nothing attractive about the note the horn makes - it sounds very GM. Same thing with the turn signal indicator. Both sound like they came straight out of a f-ing Buick LeSabre.

I have always auto-folded and have never had any problems.

I tell people that you don't turn an electric car off you put it to sleep and you don't crank an electric car up, you wake it up.

So the auto-fold gives me the feeling that Karma is closing its eyes and preparing to go to sleep and when it unfolds it's waking up. I like that!

Me too, Jersey. I accidentally folded mine once, then panicked for a moment while I opened them back up - fearing that they would be stuck due to the glitch. But it seems this was an older issue??? I will use mine if the general feeling is it is fixed. I agree that it would provide that "warm and fuzzy" that the car is waking up.

Oh, and Sandy, totally with you on the horn!! Is there an alternative?? How common / read "lame"!!
