Just wanted to check with the forum on what chargers are you using at home? I'm currently using a Blink Industrial charger which has all the features to charge at a specific time and tells me all the stats. Since its an industrial version I have had it factory reset by the new Blink company to a public charger three times now. They would like me to return this charger for a Blink HQ.

Since the Karma charge software is dumb, how are the rest of you dealing with the charge start time?

Do you think the Karma system and software will be upgraded in the future to allow charge start time etc like all the new cars. I have noticed that the Karma is able to disconnect from the charger when complete so I assume there are some hardware features to allow this but the software was never created.

The car was designed to stop charging at 50 Miles . I don't think you will see anymore software developed in this area because it's one of the systems the performs the way it was developed with few problems .

Dan,

I have a Blink home charger that, when I first bought it, had fairly comprehensive programming capability and the Karma worked with the delayed charging just fine to charge the car between Midnight and 6 AM. Unfortunately, about 13 months into its life (i.e., right after the warranty expired) the charger lost all of its intelligence and is now a dumb charger that, still charges the car just fine, but can no longer be programmed nor does it report any data. The repair charge quoted by Blink was around $500, which is pretty close to the cost of a new charger, so I am holding off on the repair and waiting for the next generation chargers to come down in price a bit further before I buy a new one.
