Speaking of airplanes, there are a couple of Iphone apps that let you use the iphone as a HUD projector and reflect information like speed, heading, and even location of speed cameras on the inside of your windshield to simulate an HUD. The "GPS Test Plus" app for Android will do GPS-as-HUD as well. I tried it in my current car but it was unreadable due to internal reflections in the windshield glass. The video you linked also had internal reflections blurring the display but for whatever reason (better glass? different shape of windshield?) it was not as bad as mine.Fabulist said:

Make sure your volume on the actual iPhone 5 is turned down a bit. That usually causes some problems like static and echo. You also probably want to upgrade to 510 from 628.
