Hello,

I am very thankful to have run across this forum. It is clear that this exclusive ownership group is very helpful to those of us who are looking to become owners of Fiskers, and those who are already proud owners of these beautiful cars.

I am looking to purchase a Fisker and have found this site extremely helpful. I have reviewed the buyer checklist, as well as attempted to look up my VIN #- which came back (not a valid VIN ??).

Any posts, or threads that I should focus on would be extremely helpful as I continue to inform myself about this purchase decision. I live in Idaho, so any good tech's would be far from my home town. How have current owners in a similar situation dealt with this challenge?

Thanks for any assistance or guidance you can give me as I continue to further educate myself about this unique buying decision.

Thanks,

Idaho1

The VIN for the car I am looking to purchase is:

YH4K16AA1CA001467- any assistance you can provide to let me know if any or all of the updates have been made to the vehicle would be greatly appreciated. In addition:

1. The car has 642 miles on it, and will be titled for the first time.
a. I assume the tax credits still apply.
b. Is their a warranty advantage for being the original owner?

2. Do you suggest a buyers inspection on this vehicle?

3. Can I still get clear bra kit for the car, if so, where?

Thanks for any assistance you can provide,

@Idaho1 - welcome to the forums. The one question I can personally answer is I definitely recommend an inspection by someone knowledgeable with Fisker's, if possible. The dollars you spend on a pre-purchase inspection to ensure the car doesn't have any big underlying issues could save you thousands later.

I am planning to get a clear bra kit on my car eventually. I'm pretty sure if you search the threads, you can find some recommendations from other owners who have had the clear bra installed.

Take your time and be sure to find the right Karma. This message board has a ton of useful information before and after you purchase the car.

Good luck!

Thanks for posting a reply. This forum is so full of great information, and contacts. I am getting very close to narrowing down my purchase. The original car that I had targeted does not have the 'green dot' motors. However, all of the other upgrades have been done. I have been researching this site to determine what to expect down the road if I choose this car without the upgraded motors, and am having difficulty understanding if this is a deal breaker or not?

If anyone can provide more insight on this topic, it would be greatly appreciated.
