Heat shield, "magic 26" and engine noise - fix for all cars or just some?

Maybe Nimisys can shed some light:, are all of the cars delivered having issues with the heat shield not being bent/formed properly causing it to rattle at higher temperature/speeds?

Also, maybe he/she can also explain how 6.14.2 changes Sport mode functionality and even a bigger question, what was the rationale for the magic "26" mile battery range as the divider between 'charge deplete' vs. 'charge sustain' modes in Sport. Will this ultimately change to a user-setting (e.g. raising/lowering charge deplete threshold from say, 26 miles to 10 or 40, etc?

SoCal, no issues with the heat shield on my car. Good comments and thoughts on the magic 26 mile issue.
I wish I could set the miles too. I like to use Sport on the freeway and it would be nice to have a full charge when I get to side streets.
I use Stealth on the freeway down to the 26 mile point then switch to Sport. I agree it would be nice to set our own sustain and deplete limits to suit our particular routes. I don't see it happening with the EPA having to certify mileage. Just another example of big government wasting taxpayer dollars to accomplish the opposite of the intended goals
I can't answer these questions fully, simply because i do not know the whole story.

Heat Shield noise is dependent on the delivering dealer and how stringent they are/were on the PDI. Some cars may need adjustment, some may not.

The 26mi thing has to be emissions certification balance issue, because originally Sport was going to recharge the battery upto 60%, but that has obivously changed.

Got it, thanks!
The most charge I get from Irvine to south orange county which is about a 30 miles ride is 1 mile of charge I get back, does anyone know how much charge you get on this. I never see more then one mile of charge. :dodgy:

When did you pick up your car, I pick my car up end of Sept 2012 and I having that noise issue and other issues in the car since. They replace the exhaust but now its worst

I think you might be asking about Sport mode charging the battery and increasing the range of the car? If so, I'm sorry to say it doesn't work that way. See this thread for details: http://www.fiskerbuzz.com/forums/13-fisker-karma/1605-1-1-driven-battery-miles-2.html#post15533
