I know some lawsuits have been filed for unpaid bills. Does anyone know if these lawsuits were replied to, settled, or just left to go to default judgement?

Thanks,

Bill

Yes, 2 lawsuits in Federal Court (not the one filed by their landlord) have been answered. The claim from former employees under the WARN Act is being defended by Kirkland & Ellis the Chicago bankruptcy firm. The tenancy action is probably in state court in California (the Complaint was published on the Internet a while back).

Kirkland and Ellis is not just a BK firm, they are an international full service firm, so it would make sense for FA to use them for litigation as well as BK advice.
