I have seen poeple with VIn #'s how soon should you be getting your Car. I was told about 2 weeks ago from Fisker that it takes 10 weeks from start of production to Dealer. Anybody have a better time table?

Thanks

10 weeks seems about right, but it looks like they're increasing the shipping frequency and volume, so that number appears to *possibly* be dropping to 6-8 weeks. Mine is on a boat and I hope to have it around December 10th plus or minus a few days.

When was your production date?
My car started production on Nov. 4th, then proceeded to "General Assembly" on Nov. 14th at which point I received the VIN (-641). It is scheduled to complete General Assembly sometime between Nov. 24 and Dec. 1 and will be shipped on the Dec. 1 shipment. So it takes about three weeks from start of production to shipment and then another 3-4 weeks in transit. These are all estimates. Your mileage may vary.

Wow, that was a long production cycle. Was your car one of the ones held up for the various "delays" like the paint and leather? It appears mine was only in production for about a week which is what it's normally supposed to be. Lucikly, I didn't have any paint or leather delays since I went with sliver / black.

@Brian: My interior is a tritone, so that may have held things up, although I would think they would not start building a car until they have everything they need to complete it, but who knows. Seems like the 30+ cars-a-day estimate seems a bit ambitious, to say the least.

I'm baffled why I cannot get a VIN # for mine. I've heard about the Deep Ocean color issues. But other than that, last build to ship date I got was September 25th. So obviously the color is keeping my car from being built. Any suggestions from the team here?
I heard they are still playing with the paint formulations, so I'm assuming all the production starts for the affected colors are totally on hold until they have a paint they are happy with...

I was told on November 3rd by Fisker they should have that resolved within 3 weeks. I am hoping that is the correct answer and not a standard statement to keep us happy.
I'm stumped on this. Shouldn't they have figured out the paint formulations like, oh, I don't know, 2 YEARS AGO?

During my demo drive early this week at the Silicon Valley dealership, I was told my car (Signature Series #7) was on its way from the factory. Today, Customer Service at Fisker HQ was helpful with some more detail, telling me the car had been shipped and had cleared customs at the U.S. port. They told me that all those cars that just been shipped were getting an additional software upgrade here on U.S. soil before being transported to dealers. Since I am in California, they said it would be 2-3 weeks for final delivery here. So, arriving around December 5-10 or so, just as a few other NorCal buyers here are expecting.

I think the issue is the quality of the production batch they got, not R&D, similar to the issue with the leather.

Right, and now that we are hearing about the flood in the leather factory....

Update just got a call from Fisker and my car will go into production on December 15th and finish by December 21st so it take 6 days for production. I should have my VIN# by December 19th or so. They said they fix the paint problem and are now scheduling the red and the blue for production. We shall see, I still do not have a dealer in Phoenix they promised me within a couple of days. She said it was in Scottsdale.

This is probably not exactly uncommon since the Fisker brand itself is basically new and a bunch of dealers are shuffling things around deciding where to sell these out of. The "Salt Lake City" dealer used to be up north in Davis County and is now down south in Utah County!

Nope, not about the Tornado. So the latest I just got today was that my car was to begin production on the 23rd of November. But once I told them that I heard that my color was rumored to be started on Dec 5th, they told me that they needed to look into it further and would get back to me. Honestly I'm ok with some delays, just need some solid information.
So, Fisker of Atlanta confirmed on their Facebook page that the Signature Edition they have is #54. Making me the most upset I have been since my deposit was made four years ago. The only thing I can see that would allow a higher SE number to arrive first would be that someone damaged the leather material in my car during assembly and the leather storage flood made replacement leather not available.
