If my EcoSport ever shows up we should get together in the ATL. We can form the Atlanta chapter of the Fisker Owner's Club

Congrats Marty, but brace for impact: Some folks on this forum have been waiting years for their cars to arrive (and are still waiting). You were very, very fortunate in that you were able to get in to an actual car in the color and feature combo you wanted so quickly. Thank your lucky stars, your business partners, and the good folks at Fisker in Huntsville for hooking you up. You may hear some sour grapes from those of us who have been waiting, but that's just jealousy!MartySmith361 said:Saw the Two and a Half Men episode. Looked the car up, pick the color and sent the link to my business partner. He told me to hop on a plane and come pick it up. His good friend owns the dealership in Huntsville and just got the car with the color and interior I wanted and it was mine if I wanted it. Have to thank Ashton K. for the great selling job on the show!
Marty, I am one of those guys who have been waiting close to 4 years for our Karma to be designed, built, certified and delivered and wanted to congratulate you on getting one of these great cars. No jealousy here, on the contrary, I am absolutely delighted to see more Karmas on the road whether it is mine or someone else's.LonePalmBJ said:Congrats Marty, but brace for impact: Some folks on this forum have been waiting years for their cars to arrive (and are still waiting). Some of us are more jealous than others.Fabulist said:Marty, I am one of those guys who have been waiting close to 4 years for our Karma to be designed, built, certified and delivered and wanted to congratulate you on getting one of these great cars. Thanks Marty.MartySmith361 said:Love mine. Century sent a flatbed and loaner 7-series for me to drive while the battery was replaced. Got it back in a few days all cleaned up. Had my charging station installed by that time. The ride is sweet, especially on Stealth mode. It feels like it is gliding. The audio is amazing but I enjoy driving with it off to get the full effect of the all electric ride. Very responsive and quick in traffic. Most of my driving can be done in a day on a single charge. I haven't had any major issues, software or otherwise. Still trying to figure out how to get Sirius Radio to hold presets. Must be something simple. Be prepared to spend a lot of time explaining what it is.
Andy, this thread should help as well.Andy308 said:Thanks Marty.
The car is OFF THE CHARTS exciting. Moreover, I thought I was going the be the only guy in Forsyth Co. with one. Shadow / Canyon Tri-Tone Eco-Sport.Andy308 said:I live just north of Atlanta (Cumming, GA) and drove a Fisker today and am interested in getting one. I get 45 to 52 miles on the battery (Stealth). 24 MPG gas only (Sport).
Since it has an ICE, I'm sure you do. WIth all newer cars though, emission inspection consists of plugging into the OBD-II port and having the car tell the tester if there are any emission issues. They don't need to check actual tailpipe emissions as far as I understand. I'm sure it'll be plenty confusing for a while.MartySmith361 said:Did you have to get an emissions inspections in GA? If so, how did they handle the forward exhaust system?
According to the Georgia Clean Air Force website (they are the people who administer emissions testing for the 13 Georgia counties that have it) we will be required to have the emissions tested. All new cars are exempt for two years, but beyond that we are subject:MartySmith361 said:MO DMV has classified the Karma with the Chevy Volt as a Plug-in electric-drive vehicle and both are exempt from emission inspections in the state. Has the dealership in Atlanta come up with anything definitive regarding GA requirements?
I have had my car now for about a month now and I also cannot get my radio presets to hold. I think the radio is losing power when you turn the car off which clears the radio everytime.MartySmith361 said:Love mine.
