Yea! In assembly now and VIN is 1818 (ordered 12/30). What is the common wisdom on the time between now and a Karma getting on the boat for the long ride across the pond?

Mark, I think its 2-3 weeks from assembly to boat.

Mark,

Now that you know your VIN you can track it yourself as well. Click the link below, answer "no" to any 'display secure content only' popups, enter your VIN into the Cargo ID field and press Track. That will tell you if your car is in the system, at a dock, on a ship, or offloaded. It will even let you know if it's cleared customs or been released for transport. If it's on a ship you can find out when it's due to make landfall.

Thanks to both of you. I'd squirreled away that 2wglobal URL just for that purpose. I'm guessing I have 2-3 weeks until it's in that system (assembly to boat) and then I'll be able to watch it through "ready for transport" in New Jersey. And then I live in PA, so I'm guessing it's a short wait to get to my dealer, get prepped, etc. Sounds like most likely April, small chance for March if the port is no longer backlogged.
My dates are in my signature and my ship is pulling into Halifax now and expected in NY on the 9th.

Mine was "scheduled" to start assembly on 12-21-11, and I confirmed (w/ tracking website) it was loaded onto a vessel today.

FWIW, my vehicle arrived in NY on 1/26/2012, cleared customs and was released for transit on 1/27/2012 and arrived at my dealership here in Atlanta yesterday. In other words, it only took 11 days from port to dealer.

My experience may not be typical, but it seems they are getting through the backlog of cars that need the 6.13.5 SW flash and grounding strap completed much faster than they have been.

Marcus, if these timelines hold for you, you'll be tooling around in your Karma long before Leap Day :)

Brent
My experience has been very different and I suspect more typical. My car arrived in Newark on January 19th and is still there. Waiting for a resonator according to Fisker, And being on the West Coast I still have to wait another 7-10 days for it get across the country. But it should be worth the wait.
Thanks Brent - How many more days until pickup?

I'm out of town until the weekend, so Saturday AM is D-Day! (as in Delivery)

Yes, I will post the requisite photos. I know the rules: Pics or it didn't happen :)
I'm excited for another Deep Ocean to get delivered, Brent!

Glad you got a vin #. I saw your post and thought I would let you know my experience. On Dec. 13, 2011, I was notified by the dealer that I had a vin #. It is now 2/7/12 and my car is on the Don Juan, cargo ship and will arrive in NY theoretically by 2/23. When I talked to Jefferey in Fisker Consumer affairs, he said that the number can be assigned but it might not roll off the line that soon, like mine. He stated they produce them in batches, same color and it allows for the line to go faster but your car might be "out of sequence." So it is not number sequence but groupings of like cars in color and "standard" "sport" "chic". I hope you get yours soon! I ordered mine May 18, 2008.
Smithles, I hope you find that it was worth the wait! I appreciate your providing the dates in your post. Here's hoping I get lucky and the factory was in a Sport Deep Ocean mood that week!

Mine is also on the Don Juan. May the seas be calm and the u-boats remain at port. :D
Can you on the VIN se if its a standard, sport or Chic model?

My production date was Nov. 17th. The car arrived in Newark on Jan. 18th. They indicated then it would be another 4-6 weeks before it was delivered to Dallas. Take your time Fisker. I'd rather wait while the issues are sorted out.

So I can conclude that port to dealer is anywhere from 11 days to 6 weeks? I agree that as long as the car is sorted, I don't care.
7 days port to (East Coast) dealer FYI
Fit/Finish has to be a 9/10... 1 minor exterior and 1 minor interior item.
Delivery is a 9/10 - forgot state inspection.
Financing 10/10 1.9% 60 months nothing down with Suntrust - wow!
The software is a 8/10 - bluetooth radio is too glitchy and the sound system is junk (I hope speaker replacement will improve on it.) Bluetooth phone is also barely usable. Nav looks like my daughter with a crayon. The rest of the software was somewhat intuitive and functional. Not sure why I would want a secondary time zone? Steering wheel buttons are crap.
Drive home 10/10 - Overall I could not be more happy. There is SO much right with this car. I would not have made a bad decision purchasing another Benz or BMW, but how BORING! I think this car is a spectacular breath of fresh air and just what my garage needs.
Cheers to proud owners.
Don Juan has my car on it as well.

Hope to see it here in Minneapolis in a month or so.
