There are lots of forum entries with Tips/Techniques. I suggest you read a lot. Some of the biggies are:

> Wait about 2 minutes after shutdown until your cooling fans turn off to plug in your charger ... or these fans will often not turn off. (I use my California Duster & Detail Spray to busy myself making the car look perfect while I wait! :) )

> Don't spray a lot of water at your windshield as it can leak down & blow your CIU (the car's computer). You live in Vegas, so you'll rarely worry about a hard rain.

> Make sure you have all the maintenance/recall items done (including sealing the CIU).

> Let the car make its "welcome" sound before you try to Start -- Sometimes, the CIU will just show the Fisker Logo and never let you "agree", and you have to let the car sit still for 2 minutes and go to sleep to get it to come back.

> I like to use the Hill Modes as downshifting when stopping (and back to D when I get fully stopped). If the "charge meter" is to be believed, this gives you maximum re-gen braking. In stop & go traffic, it works well to leave it in Hill Mode 1.

> Note that the glove box needs the car in "On" or "Accessory" mode to open (i.e. your key fob is needed).

> Do not leave the car sitting for more than a few days without attaching a trickle charger to the 12-volt battery (there is a whole forum string dedicated to how/where to attach leads for this). You want to keep your 12 volt system charged. Driving it will do that. Parking it in the sun will do that (though not help your paint). But, don't leave it in a garage for 2 weeks -- you'll come back to a car that won't even open the doors.

I think he meant you "freely" give advice...... which usually is invaluable.

I could not have comfortably purchased mine without their input.

Harleyguy and FiskerPhilly are the gold standard on this forum for expert advice.

Welcome! Love the white, so clean and sharp! As others have said, you should really try to get Adam (Harleyguy) & Joe (FiskerPhilly) to be your friend. Generally this is done by showering them with lavish gifts of gold, cash, and diamonds. Or you can just buy them a bottle of liquor ;)

Sport mode does not hold the battery charge above 26. So, there really is no reason to turn it on until you get down to that (unless you really want to push the car hard). From 26 to 0, it will hold the charge at whatever level it was when you turned on Sport mode, but it never takes it up from there. When you get down to 0, it will turn on the engine automatically. Many (including me) prefer to use their ICE on the highway, and save the quiet stealth miles for city driving (if you're commuting around). You can drive around on gas as long as you want when you get under 26 Stealth miles. If you want to be efficient and emission conscious, let the Stealth miles get down before you engage the ICE. If you want to save some Stealth miles (maybe because you might want to show off your new "electric" car to somebody before you get your charger working), fire up Sport Mode now and save the Stealth miles until you want them.
